“The Curious Savage,” is the warm-hearted tale of Mrs. Ethel Savage, a slightly eccentric, extremely wealthy widow. . .

Being the recipient of her deceased husband’s estate, she wants to make the best use of it, despite her greedy stepchildren’s selfish attempts to get their hands on it. "The Curious Savage" is a lovely story about what it means to be a family.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors/children and are available at Family Drug in Brownstown and Bever's Family Pharmacy in Seymour. JCCT will dwelve into the works of Edgar Allen Poe on October 25 and 26, when "Nevermore: Tales from Poe," is presented at 7:30 p.m.

This two-night engagement is a readers-theatre piece based on Edgar Allen Poe’s original works, compiled and dramatized for the stage by local resident and JCCT board member Matthew T. Frick.

NEVERMORE reaches into the mind of Poe, examining his motivation to write such gruesome tales, which exalted him to stardom as one of the greatest American poets and prose authors.

Classic audience favorites such as “The Raven,” “Anabel Lee,” “The Tell-Tale Heart,” and “The Oval Portrait” will be presented, as well as other works of Poe. Tickets will be available at the door.
