PARISH QUEENS CROWNED
Under the theme “Jamaican Women…Shaping Our Culture”, thirteen parish queens were crowned and will
compete in the areas of talent, poise and general awareness for the title of ‘Miss Jamaica Festival Queen 2012’
and also the opportunity to represent Jamaica as a Cultural Ambassador. The grand coronation show for the
Miss Jamaica Festival Queen Competition 2012 will be hosted on Sunday, July 22, 2012 at the National Indoor
Centre, beginning at 8:00 p.m. The queens crowned are shown below:

CHILDREN’S GOSPEL WINNERS ANNOUNCED
The Jamaica Children’s Gospel competition got underway last Sunday (May 20), with colourful presentations
from over 200 young performers ranging from ages six to fifteen. The programme began at 7 p.m. sharp under
the theme “Jubilee: First Fruit of Harvest”. The finalists made their entrance on stage performing Father Holung’s
version of This Is the Year of Jubilee, much to the amazement of the gospel community who represented in
their numbers. The event was sponsored by Grace Tropical Rhythms, Tastee Cheese, Yummy Bakery, Grace
Frankfurters, Grace Cock Soup Mix, Kirk Distributors, PBCJ, Promobiz and Love 101 FM.

2012 JAMAICA GOSPEL FINALISTS
The Jamaica Gospel Finalists have been selected and will
be making their presence felt on June 2, 16 and 30 in the
following parishes listed below. All shows begin at 6:30
p.m. The guest artistes on the respective shows will be
Kerron Ennis, Lubert Levy and Noretta Lewis

2012 FESTIVAL SONG FINALISTS
The Festival Song Finalists will be on tour with the
Gospel finalists on June 16 and 30. They will be in
concert at Renaissance Jamaica Grande, Ocho
Rios on June 22 and at Boston Jerk Festival, Folly
Ground, Portland on July 1.
