J udges for Jax Talent Show 2012 Cara Tasher, soprano (Director of Choral Activities) Due to her own meaningul experiences in renowned orga- nizations such as the Glen El- lyn Children’s Chorus, Chica- go Symphony Chorus, Atlanta Symphony Chorus, rinity Choir at Wall Street, Conspir- are, and Experiment in Inter- national Living, Dr. Cara asher strives to instill the passion or excellence in choral music in her singers along with an appreciation o dierent cultures. As a soprano soloist, Dr. asher has perormed at Jack- sonville’s Friday Musicale, Chicago’s Grant Park, NYC’s Merkin Hall, the 92nd Street Y, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and Dublin’s National Concert Hall and continues to keep a selective voice studio. Dr. asher studied at the University o Cincinnati College-Conservatory o Music, winning the 2006 university-wide Excellence in Teaching Award , Uni-  versity o exas at Austin, La Sorbonne, and North- western University. She has conducted choral ensem- bles in Hong Kong, Japan, Mexico, and the U.S., and toured with her ensembles to Bulgaria, Canada, Italy, Spain, and Portugal. Dr, asher sits as Director o Cultur e at the Jackson ville Sister Cities Association. Dr. James Hall enor, enjoys an active career that includes opera, oratorio, chamber music, and solo re- cital. Hall has perormed as a soloist throughout the United States with groups such as Mercury Baroque, Master- works Chorus and Orchestra o Washington, D. C., Shep- herd School o Music Chamber Orchestra, and St. Matthew’s Cathedral. Hall has participated in proj- ects with renowned composers Kirke Mechem, Dan- iel Catan, Carlyle Floyd, and Ann Gebuhr . Recent and upcoming engagements include appear- ances with Miami Bach Society as haute-contre solo- ist in Andre Campra’s “Requiem” and as tenor soloist in Carl Or’s “Carmina Burana” with Te Univer- sity o Missouri Kansas City Conservatory Dancers, Choirs, and Wind Symphony. Well-regarded as an accomplished pedagogue, Dr. Hall has presented master classes in Los Angeles, Kansas City, Washington, D.C., and throughout ex- as. He runs an active voice studio at the University o North Florida, where he joined the aculty in 2011.

Megan Wallace

Megan has been dancing andteaching or over 10 yearsCertifed through two dierent syllabi including DVIDA(http://prodvida.com). Megan is dedicated to improving her own dancing as welas her students’. She startedteaching at a dance studio in

allahassee and has been enjoying sharing her loveor dance every since. She goes out throughout theweek to dance at local dancing hot spots. Megan ialways keeping up with the latest dance trends. Sheis now able to share her passion through her dancestudio, Beyond Just Dance, located in Orange Park

She is ocused on making her students, not just greasocial dancers, but also great technical dancers.American Rhythm, American Smooth, Latin Dances, Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, also Argentine angoCountry Western, and International Latin are someo the styles taught at her dance academy.

Carl Holman

Carl Holman, Assistant Di-rector o Marketing and Com-munications or the Universi-ty o North Florida’s Divisiono Institutional Advancement.Holman serves as manager o communications or the Mu-seum o Contemporary ArtJacksonville. Joining UNF in

2008, he brings more than 17 years o experience instrategic marketing, public relations, arts marketing,media relations and crisis communications to themuseum.Mr. Holman is a graduate o the University o SouthCarolina with a B.A. in Journalism.

In 2005, Mr. Holman was named Marketing Direc-tor o the Year by the Northeast Florida Builders As-sociation and led local and national award-winningmarketing campaigns. He has served on volunteerand undraising projects or HabiJax, HOPE Interna-tional, and the American Cancer Society.

Keli Garcia

Keli has been Inlove with theperorming arts rom a youngage. She has been dancingsince she was 9 years old.Although schooled in balleand jazz rom an early age, shenow ocuses mostly on her twodance passions: Flamenco andSalsa.

She is currently an instructor at Salsa Caliente Dance

Studios in Jacksonville. She has also been involved intheater, taking classes and appearing in live perormances, such as “A Mid Summer Nights Dream” and“Bye Bye Birdie” throughout high school and college

 years. oday, Keli can always be ound in the midst othe Jacksonville Latin Dance scene.

Breanne Wylder

Breanne Wylder is a music ed-ucation major at JacksonvilleUniversity, specializing as a

 vocalist and a violinist. She hasbeen singing all her lie and hasplayed the violin or the past 9

 years.Wylder has perormed on nu-

merous occasions with the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra and the Jacksonville Youth Symphony 

Orchestra. She sang with the Jacksonville Children’sChorus and the Jacksonville University Choir. Sheteaches vocal and violin lessons privately and she isalso the music teacher and worship leader at the Car-penter’s Shop Center and Arlington Family Church.She is a member o the Jacksonville University Or-chestra and the Jacksonville University Quartet.
