The Department of Housing and

Committee are excited to announce that

Brian C. Johnson will be joining us on

February 1st @ 7:00 pm in the Don Morris

Room.

Brian approaches diversity by using

modern film clips to help us explore the

messages being sent to the viewers.

Attendees will learn about the concept of

“diversity”—its associated values,

expressions of identity, similarity, and the

devaluation of “different.” They are asked

to consider the concept of “culture”—its

symbols, language, norms and values in

American society.

We hope you join us at this special event.

We will also be giving away two pairs of

Lady Antebellum tickets at this event.

That concert will be on February 3rd at the

Big Sandy Arena.

Holderby herald

Welcome Back! Holderby has been so lonely this winter break without its residents!

The building RD, RA’s, and Security are delighted to have you all

back and begin this exciting spring semester. We hope your break

was long, rejuvenating and fun!

Now it’s time to get back to working on that 4.0 GPA for the

semester, remember, academic excellence!

Besides that, that RA’s have been stirring up all kinds of ideas for

programs and activities that we hope you are all looking

forward to!

Our Newest Addition! Say Hello to Dakota Ward! Dakota is new to the staff and will be the RA for the 1st floor. Dakota’s great personality and progressive RA skills will make for a nice addition to Holderby and a cool guy in the building; he even has a light saber tattoo on his finger (ask him!) Help make our newest RA feel at home Welcome Dakota!

Fall Semester RECAP The fall Semester was an interesting one for Holderby. We were introduced to a large capacity of residents, which allowed the hire of a whole new staff. The lobby stayed very active and fun. Decorated for every season, were able to take home the gold for Homecoming decorations and MUDD cup! Programs had high success rates especially the Masquerade ball! We plan to keep have it just as fun if not more for the spring semester!
