FROM the GOVERNOR

“Merry Christmas” and “Happy New Year” to all.

It is official! Our kitchen is completely finished and fully permitted.

Once again I have to thank all those who donated time, money and

expertise. We thank our entire membership for hanging in there with

your continued support. Together we did a great job. Thank you. We

can look forward to Friday night steak dinners and Taco Tuesdays

thanks to the WOTM

Coming up on Jan. 16th at 3:00 pm we will be having an enrollment

ceremony complete with dinner. All members are encouraged to at-

tend. The ceremony will be held quarterly. Attending the ceremony

not only welcomes our new members it also reminds our entire mem-

bership of exactly what “Moose” is all about.

A thank you is in order to all of those who contributed to the food

drive. We all know the goods go to those in need and it is greatly ap-

preciated.

We can thank Chad Peek for our new schooners. Chad as a new

member has been more than generous. When Chad overheard me talk-

ing about our schooner disaster he asked if he could contribute? I had

no idea he would completely restock. Thanks Chad.

A new member, who asked to remain anonymous, bought the house

a round in memory of those fire fighters who lost there lives on 911.

This member rides his motorcycle across the country each year raising

money for that cause. Truly a quality member. Welcome brother.

Thank you Leon Throckmorton. Because of Leon the van was avail-

able for a safe ride home New Years Eve. A thank you also to Dennis

Hansen our volunteer designated driver.

Matty Thank you for your generous donations including a Foosball

table. Mr. Durkin deserves our thanks. Jim quietly goes about his

business raising money, much of it from his own pocket, for our

kitchen fund. Thank You Jim.

There are as always, those who contribute time, money and exper-

tise to the lodge and expect nothing in return. Brenda, Eve, Al,

Lucille, Cynthia, Leia, Ken, Micky, Dan, Diane, Jess, Erich, Jack,

Carolann, Dee, Dave, Billy, James and the list goes on. Thank you.

We can look forward to another Scottish Doubles pool tournament

Jan 15th. This time we will also be having a horse shoe tournament.

Possibly a Foosball tourney .

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy

New Years Eve. I look forward to the new year. The

kitchen is open, which means Taco Tuesday is back and

Friday night dinners are back. The first Taco Tuesday is

Jan 4th at 6:00 pm, and the first Steak Night dinner is Jan

14th at 6:00 pm. Thanks again to all of you who worked so

hard to get our kitchen up and running.

Now a BIG thank you goes out to Colby Rogers for all

his hard work during the kids Halloween and the kids

Christmas parties. Everyone loved the Pumpkin Patch.

GOOD JOB, and thank you so much, I couldn’t have done

it without you. Also a BIG thanks to Coach and Kathy for

all the hot dogs and chips, to Tonya for all the baked

goods, to Dudley for all the flowers, to Cindy Metcho for

all the picture frames, to Lucille for taking all the pictures,

and to Gail Marie for the special treat she made for each

child, and everyone else who helped with the Kids Christ-

mas Party, Thank you, thank you. But an even Bigger

thanks you goes out to “Santa”, thank you so much for

coming to spend time with us, we all know how busy you

are at Christmas, so thank you for sharing some time with

us. The Women of the Moose wish you and Mrs. Claus a

Nomination of Officers

For the coming year 2011/2012

In 2 to 3 months it will be time to nominate and elect

new officers for the coming year. You must meet the

following requirements as per chapter 33

“ELECTIONS” Sect. 33.5 of the General Laws,

The Constitution and by-laws of Moose International

GOVERNOR: Been a good standing member of the lodge

for at least six(6) months immediately preceding the date of

election and completed at least one (1) year in another

elected office (not a combination of offices) of the lodge in

which he seeks office.

JR. GOVERNOR: Been a good standing member of the

lodge for six (6) months immediately preceding the date of

election.

PRELATE: Been a good standing member of the lodge for at

least six (6) months immediately preceding the date of elec-

tion.

TREASURER: Must be a good standing member of the

lodge

TRUSTEE: Must be a good standing member of the lodge.
