GENERAL MANAGER’S NOTE

Happy New Year! The holidays are a great time to retreat into our homes, cook and enjoy recipes that have been handed down through the generations; comfort food at its best! Now, as we look forward to longer days and new beginnings, think about introducing fresh ideas, ingredients and meals to your family’s menu!

This January, KBTC has you covered with inspiring new episodes from your favorite shows to help you get in touch with your inner foodie.

In Season 11, Martha focuses on one ingredient including stone fruit, almonds, ginger, and her all-time favorite… lemons!

Bridget Lancaster and Julia Collin Davison head into the test kitchen to bring more foolproof recipes to the home cook. The perfect cake, Chinese favorites, and chocolate delights are all in store.

From the field to the plate and everything in between Washington Grown will highlight the amazing food scene and industry that makes Washington state a great place to enjoy literally hundreds of locally grown items. Be sure to look for brand new episodes from Jamie’s Quick and Easy Food, Joanne Weir’s Plates and Places and the brand new hour-long documentary series, Confucius Was a Foodie, with celebrity chef Christine Cushing (see page 6 for details). Wishing you a joyous (and appetizing!) 2019,

DeAnne Hamilton
