Broccoli & Bacon Salad Ingredients

- 4 cups of Broccoli florets

- ½ cups real bacon bits/pieces

- ½ cup shredded carrots

- ¼ cup thinly sliced red onions

- ½ cup favorite Vinaigrette salad dressing (such as balsamic or red wine vinaigrette)

- ¼ cup sliced almonds

Directions

- In large saucepan, bring 2 quarts (2L) of water to a boil. Add broccoli florets to

boiling water and cook for 1-2 mins. Remove broccoli and place in a bowl of ice

water to stop the cooking process. Drain Broccoli well and pat dry with a paper

towel. In bowl, combine broccoli, bacon carrots and red onions. Toss gently with

vinaigrette salad dressing. Chill salad for 1 hour. Just before serving, stir in almonds.
