Applying to Medical, Dental, or Optometry School in 2016? FINAL MANDATORY MEETING: January 19th

    Attention Pre-Dental Students: Sophomore Interviews

This is the last opportunity you will have to become eligible to participate in the committee interview

process with the Health Professions Advising Office. The final mandatory meeting for pre-medical,

pre-dental, and pre-optometry students planning to apply to health professional programs is

JANUARY 19th at 5 p.m. in 205 Gorgas Library. Students who do not attend one of our mandatory meetings

will not be eligible for the committee interview & composite letter.

R.S.V.P. on www.prehealth.ua.edu in the Events Calendar. Limited space available for each meeting.

Dr. Steve Filler from the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s

School of Dentistry will be conducting Sophomore Interviews

on Tuesday, February 16th & Wednesday, February, 17th

in 200 Clark Hall. Interviews are one-on-one, 30-minute sessions that allow you to

get feedback and ask questions that you may have related to dentistry school.

    Interviews will be conducted from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

*Sign-up sheets will be available at the

front desk of Clark Hall on February 2nd. Why we do Sophomore Interviews?

Most of the interviews that we bring to campus are

called “Sophomore Interviews.” We do this be-

cause by your sophomore year you should be able

to have demonstrated academic and co-curricular

    commitment to your health professional

aspirations. These interviews allow sophomores to

get constructive feedback and make SIGNIFICANT

CHANGES prior to applying to graduate school.
