Happy New Year!!
Hello Members,
I hope you all have a wonderful new year! We are looking forward to another
exciting year here at the Club, and it is my hope that you will take time to let us
know what you would like to see at San Angelo Country Club. As the
Membership & Marketing Director, it is my job to ensure our members are
satisfied, and to entice new members to join. Do you have someone in mind who
would be a good addition to the Club? Call me and let me know!
I want to thank all of our members who came out to
support the new events we hosted in 2015. We hope to
continue bringing our members innovative programs,
whether it is through themed dinners, movie nights,
couples nights, or any other events. We as a Club have
a unique opportunity to create new and exciting ideas
while still adhering to some of our traditions. It is an
exciting time to be a member at the Club.
Please take a moment to fill out our Member Survey,
which will be emailed to you in early January. We truly
value and appreciate your feedback, and will do our best
to improve upon your suggestions. If you see me at any
event or function, do not hesitate to let me know of any
questions, comments, or concerns. I love hearing from
our members and want your input.
We will be introducing some new things in the coming
months, including the new format for the newsletter.
But it does not stop there. We will be adding new
family programs, new activities and so much more.
Thank you for choosing us as your Club home. Best
wishes for a prosperous and healthy new year.
Best,
Traci King

Way to go and good luck Miguel!!!
SACC Jr. Golfer to be on Golf Channel
With cold weather setting in it is more important than ever to be prepared for the
less than ideal conditions. One important part of being prepared is to have the
proper apparel. Layering up can ensure that you are ready to play if the temperature
changes during your round. One of the most important things to remember when
playing in the cold is the importance of stretching before you play. It is important to
stretch indoors to get blood flowing and to limber up, but it is equally important to
hit balls before your round. By just having the correct apparel and giving yourself
plenty of time to stretch and warm up, you will be able to enjoy winter golf, even if
the conditions are less than favorable!!!

Tennis News
Congratulations to Kolby Bixler on winning the Midland ZAT! Kolby has
worked really hard to comeback from a broken arm that he suffered
during the summer. He has only been able to start playing tennis again in
the past six weeks, which makes this win very impressive! He is now
qualified for the championship division in USTA tennis.
Sid Wallace also qualified for the championship division at the Midland
ZAT by reaching the semifinals. He had earned enough points, reaching
the final round of the San Angelo ZAT to qualify in the semifinals in
Midland. Way to go Sid!! Kolby Bixler
The San Angelo Country Club Junior Program had a great year and we would like to recognize some of our outstanding kids:
Griffin Kent qualified for the championship division and was in the top six on Central’s
varsity team in 2015.
Skylar Bixler qualified for the championship division and was in the top six on Central’s varsity team in 2015.
Olivia Henderson qualified for the championship division in her 1st year of playing
competitive tennis. Kolby Bixler qualified for the championship division in 2015.
Sid Wallace qualified for the championship division in 2015.
We are looking forward to another great year in 2016!!
Ladies Leagues Alex has continued to run her ladies leagues through the end of the year. She will be starting another round of leagues in January. If you are interested in playing in a club league, please call the tennis shop at 325-651-7227.
We would like to thank everyone for their participation in our lesson programs, leagues, and events in 2015 and we are looking forward to a great 2016. If there is anything we can do for
you please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Happy New Year!!

A letter from Mr. Rees...
At your service….
“WOW” “BEAUTIFUL” “SPECTACULAR” “WINTER WONDERLAND” are the words
that I have heard our members and guest describing the holiday decorations at your club. A
big thank you to Cindy Kirby, Johnny Kirby, Barbara Bost, Josephine Duarte, Ella Schroyer, Traci King, Jodi Adcock for all your hard work to make our club so beautiful. THANK
YOU!
Oh no it is already January 2016 and what is a member to do? Check out all the exciting
things you can do at your club: how about lunch with the Golf Pro where every other week
they will cover a new topic to keep your game warmed up and ready to go; or maybe you
would like to try our ladies night out with many exciting things to do; or maybe bingo is
your game come out and try your luck, or maybe you are in the mood for burgers and brew or maybe a nice Prime Rib. Whatever your desire we are here for you. If you would like to
see something at your club call Traci King and let her know.
We value your input and would like to survey our members on how we are doing and how
we might better serve you. Therefore, we will be sending out an electronic survey (those
members who wish to receive a paper survey please call Traci) in January. I hope each of
you will take a few minutes and let us know how to better serve you. Also, keep an eye out for the new short comment cards that you will receive when dining or using your club. Let
us know how we did and drop it off in one of our lock comment boxes.
Have you downloaded the new mobile phone app? It is out of this world “GREAT”. So
much information at your fingertips. Now get everything about your club on your phone,
from golf to tennis to dinning to special events and yes the popular GPS for the golf course.
If you need assistance in downloading or any issues with app please call Traci.
I would like to take this time to thank the Board of Directors for their guidance and hard
work making your club better today than yesterday. They put in many hours volunteering to
make San Angelo Country Club the best experience for you. Reach out and thank your

Yours in Service
