PORSCHES & WOODIES PETERSEN TOUR
Cancellations within 48 hours of this event will not receive a refund.
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 26, 2011
PCA/SBR will join up with the Santa Barbara Woodie Club for a great day of meeting new friends and taking a scenic drive along Mulholland to the world famous Petersen Automotive Museum on Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles.
The Petersen has more than 300,000 square feet of exhibits, and features 150 rare and classic cars, trucks and motorcycles. The displays cover four floors, and feature permanent exhibits, state of the art galleries, celebrity and movie cars, and auto design and technology. The museum will take groups of 20 on docent-led tours of the facility. If you’ve never been to the Petersen, don’t miss this special opportunity to see it.
Inside the Petersen is a Johnny Rocket’s Café where the patio will be reserved for our no-host lunch. There will also be free reserved parking for Porsches & Woodies in the Petersen’s covered parking structure.
Please sign up early as this event is limited to 100 people. Cost of the Petersen tour will be only $11.00 per person, including the activity fee (or $9.00 per person if you’re 62 or older!). You will order and pay for your own lunch at Johnny Rocket’s. We’ll meet at 9:00 a.m. at the Costco parking lot on Lindero Canyon Blvd. in Westlake Village for an eventual 10:00 a.m. departure in several small groups. Be sure to register soon - with two clubs participating this event will be another “sell out!”

...the last word
Branch office? Uh, not exactly...SBR car dudes Mike Hodson, Kent Bodin, and Rich Norman’s trip to Germany will be chronicled in next month’s “Der Auspuff.” But, among their vacation photos were these shots of a “Pit Stop” auto service shop in the fatherland. The sign shows they handle exhaust (auspuff), brakes (bremsen), tires (reifen), oil changes (olwechsel), and shock absorbers (stoßdampfer). Looks like it’s situated right next to a nice “specialty market,” too. Small world.
