Wolf Talk The Waterloo Wolves are teaming up with Hero to Hero http://www.herotohero.us/TeamCanada.html . Hero to Hero matches emergency services personnel and sports teams with Canadian troops serving overseas. The person- nel or teams from Canada send autographed shirts and other goodies to the troops, showing their support for the members of the Canadian Armed Forces. The Wolves will be donating 2 team jerseys, autographed by all of the players on the 2009-2010 roster. Each player will also sign a tshirt, a tennis ball (for ball hockey on the army bases), and will be writing to the troops. A banner will be at all Wolves’ home games between December 22 and January 25. Players, coaching staff, parents, sponsors, and members of the general public will be encouraged to sign the banner. Twenty cases (3600) of Piller’s Pepstix and City of Waterloo lapel pins will also be shipped overseas in special, environmentally friendly bags. At 7:00pm on Monday, January 25, when Waterloo hosts Kitchener, a rep from the armed forces and from Hero to Hero will attend the game and will be presented with the Wolves’ donations. Wolf Talk

The Waterloo Wolves are teaming up with Hero to Hero http://www.herotohero.us/TeamCanada.html. Hero to

Hero matches emergency services personnel and sports teams with Canadian troops serving overseas. The person-

nel or teams from Canada send autographed shirts and other goodies to the troops, showing their support for the

members of the Canadian Armed Forces.

Where Are They Now? … Spotlight on Wolves Alumni

Tyler Townsend

Following his years with the Wolves, Tyler played for various teams

in the OPJHL and the USHL. In the 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 sea-

sons, Tyler played defence for Wilfrid Laurier University.

Currently Tyler is still a Wolf, but in another country. For the 2009-

2010 season, he is playing for Wolfe Freiburg GmbH in the German

2nd Division, which is the level below the DEL.

The DEL is similar to the NHL. To learn more about Tyler's team,

Greg Stewart

After his time in the Wolves, Greg played three seasons (2003 to

2006) of junior hockey with the Peterborough Petes, appearing in

186 games and accumulating 83 points and 270 penalty minutes.

With the Petes, he played in the 2006 Memorial Cup, recording 7

points in 19 playoff games.

In the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, Greg was selected by the Montreal

Canadiens in the 8th round.

In April 2008, Greg played his first NHL game for Montreal. He

continued to play for the Canadiens and the Hamilton Bulldogs in

2008-2009. He started the 2009-2010 season with Montreal but is

currently playing full-time with Hamilton.

Colin Way

After leaving the Wolves, Colin played for the Waterloo Siskins and

the Stratford Cullitons, where he won numerous awards and an aca-

demic scholarship.

Colin attended WLU in Honours BioChemistry and Liberty Univer-

sity (VA) in Honours Biology.

In Sept. 2009, he returned to WLU to finish his Honours Biology

degree. He has written his MCATs and hopes to be accepted in

medical school within the year. When time allows, Colin assists in

the coaching of the Wolves’ goalies.
