To Loving members of TFBC We have just finished the church wide Special Morning Prayer with the theme of "Restart your life with Jesus Christ" For 10 days (not counting Sunday) we were blessed with the first 5 chapters. More than other times, I did my best to prepare the messages. I had the desire to be changed through the book of Mark as I prepared the messages. Since the book fo- cuses on Jesus as a servant, it was special to me. I prepared the messages like I would for the Sunday Message so lots of energy were put in. I am certain that there were a lot of blessings. We did not have a time of hands on prayers but the depth of grace was deep and I saw the desires of listing to the word of God from the eyes of the members who attended the early morning prayers. The sound of prayers seemed louder than before. There were members who listened to the messages online because they could not attend due to their work or rides for their children. My house lost the power on Saturday night due to a strong wind. The number of the joint service was lower than usual and I found out that over 300,000 homes lost their power over the weekend. Being busy with end of the year ministries and Joint service, I wanted to go home and rest to get ready for the second week of the special morning prayer. After hearing that my power did not come back on, I stayed at church to prepare for the message. Sometimes when things are busy with ministries, I sleep at my office on my couch. However, I felt sad and felt like no place to go that night. And Noah hurt his finger playing basketball and was suffering from pain and he wanted to eat Chinese black bean noodle. After eating the noodles, I got indigestion. I was cold, tired and having indigestion, I was even more sad because I wanted to prepare as best as I can in the situation but thinking it might not be good enough for members who will be coming the next day with great desire to know the word. The passage for the next day was Mark 3:7-19, "When God calls you, He also gives you the power" Jesus called His disciples and as He did, He empowered them. Mark 3:13-15 says, 13 Jesus went up on a mountainside and called to him those he want- ed, and they came to him. 14 He appointed twelve[a] that they might be with him and that he might send them out to preach 15 and to have authority to drive out de- mons." The focus of disciples is when Jesus calls you, you have the privilege of being with the Lord. As God called me into preaching ministry, knowing that Jesus is with me gave me a big comfort. Also knowing that He will give me the power to do the min- istry gave me strength as well. Because of the comfort and challenges that I received that night, I felt the Monday was filed with more fire of Holy Spirit. Even through a small suffering, it purifies our faith and in the process, the word of God comes more fresh to us. 2019 has began. I pray that the whole church will meditate on the book of Mark till the end. Even if you are not able to attend early morning services every day, desig- nate a day or two each week to attend to follow the example of Jesus praying early in the morning in remote places. When you start with Jesus, He will give you the power. I love you and thank you. I bless you in the name of the Lord. Senior Pastor David Choi Ministry Staff Senior Pastor Sung E. To Loving members of TFBC

We have just finished the church wide Special Morning Prayer with the theme of

"Restart your life with Jesus Christ" For 10 days (not counting Sunday) we were

blessed with the first 5 chapters.

More than other times, I did my best to prepare the messages. I had the desire to be

changed through the book of Mark as I prepared the messages. Since the book fo-

cuses on Jesus as a servant, it was special to me. I prepared the messages like I

would for the Sunday Message so lots of energy were put in.

I am certain that there were a lot of blessings. We did not have a time of hands on

prayers but the depth of grace was deep and I saw the desires of listing to the word

of God from the eyes of the members who attended the early morning prayers. The

sound of prayers seemed louder than before. There were members who listened to

the messages online because they could not attend due to their work or rides for

their children.

My house lost the power on Saturday night due to a strong wind. The number of the

joint service was lower than usual and I found out that over 300,000 homes lost

their power over the weekend. Being busy with end of the year ministries and Joint

service, I wanted to go home and rest to get ready for the second week of the special

morning prayer.

After hearing that my power did not come back on, I stayed at church to prepare for

the message. Sometimes when things are busy with ministries, I sleep at my office

on my couch. However, I felt sad and felt like no place to go that night.

And Noah hurt his finger playing basketball and was suffering from pain and he

wanted to eat Chinese black bean noodle. After eating the noodles, I got indigestion.

I was cold, tired and having indigestion, I was even more sad because I wanted to

prepare as best as I can in the situation but thinking it might not be good enough for

members who will be coming the next day with great desire to know the word.

The passage for the next day was Mark 3:7-19, "When God calls you, He also gives

you the power" Jesus called His disciples and as He did, He empowered them. Mark

3:13-15 says, 13 Jesus went up on a mountainside and called to him those he want-

ed, and they came to him. 14 He appointed twelve[a] that they might be with him

and that he might send them out to preach 15 and to have authority to drive out de-

mons."

The focus of disciples is when Jesus calls you, you have the privilege of being with

gave me a big comfort. Also knowing that He will give me the power to do the min-

istry gave me strength as well.

was filed with more fire of Holy Spirit. Even through a small suffering, it purifies

our faith and in the process, the word of God comes more fresh to us.
