Jane MacDonald Jane MacDonald is the owner of BeBe Bold, an Australian based studio shop and online store specialising in Japanese textiles and craft. Based in the Northern Rivers region of NSW, Jane travels extensively with BeBe Bold to exhibit and teach at major craft and quilt exhibitions. Returning frequently to Japan to learn from specialists in traditional sashiko techniques and to source the latest design trends, Jane has become a prominent figure in Japanese textile arts in Australia. BeBe Bold is a speciality store with a wide range of Japanese textiles including yarn-dyed fabrics, sashiko, kogin, crochet, embroidery and boro inspired designs including the ever popular Boro Inspired Reversible Loop Bag. BeBe Bold developed from Jane’s great interest in Japanese textile history and aesthetic, inspiring her to create distinctive quilt designs with a focus on traditional kimono-width fabrics including yukata and kasuri. Jane has taught widely in Australia as well as further afield in the UK and France.
