Problems • Animals are pooing everywhere and that is causing

pollution

• Nutrients in animals waste cause algal blooms that use up oxygen in the water. Without oxygen the plants and animals will die

• There are approximately one million bacteria in 1 gram of poo

• It is dangerous to kids who come near the poo

• If you don’t scoop poo off the lawn it will burn and discolour and may flow into the storm water drain

Solutions• Scoop double bag and throw the waste in the

garbage

• buy biodegradable bags to put your dog poo in

• create special areas for walking your dog that can be cleaned up easily
