Scout Tasting SessionThe purpose of a tasting session is to have each scout try 1 or 2 kernels of each flavor. Once everyone has tasted each flavor, have the scouts vote on which popcorn they liked best! By conducting a tasting session for your group you create product familiarity and product knowledge. Now each scout can use the tasting results as a selling tool

– Setting up a display of your popcorn at a high traffic area is an easy way to increase your sale!

• Show & Deliver

– Combines the Show & Sell (Products ordered in advance) and Take Order (Going door-to-door). One Stop Selling!

• Take Order

– The traditional way for Scouts to sell popcorn is going door-to-door in the community. Customers place their order on the take order form, and it gets delivered after the sale.

• Online Sales

– Customers can support Scouts from across the country with prpopcornstore.com. Each Scout gets credit for what is sold.

Show and Sell Ordering

• All Show and Sell (consignment) orders must be placed online using your

account on prpopcorn.com no later than Wednesday 8/28/19.

• Be reasonable! (If you request $40K and have never sold more than $10K don’t get your hopes up!)

• When Show and Sell order…. Everything is ordered by full case. Each item is 8/case except the $30, $40 and $50 items.

• Metro District Popcorn Training: Tuesday, August 13th and Thursday, August 22nd 6:30PM @LDC

• Online Sales System Open: August 26th – December 9th • Show and Sell Orders Due: Wednesday, August 28th

• Show and Sell Distribution: Wednesday September 11th-Friday 13th. Specifics vary by district.

• Show and Sell Sale Starts: Saturday, September 14th *All units participating in the Show and Sell will have popcorn in hand

• Popcorn Sale Ends: Saturday, November 2nd

• Take-Orders Due: Monday, November 4th

• Take Order Distribution: Wednesday, November 13th-Friday 15th. Specifics vary by district.

• Last Day to Place Prize Order & Invoices Paid In Full: Monday, December 9th.

Paying Your Bill

• Invoices must be paid in full by December 9th

• NEW THIS YEAR: The Council WILL NOT BE accepting a credit card payment for your final popcorn bill

• Your invoices will only be sent via Email. Check your junk mail.

• We will however take ACH payments for your final popcorn invoice. ACH is an electronic check that your banking institution “writes” to Simon Kenton Council. These electronic checks show up on your bank statements as paid to Simon Kenton Council, typically as: “Other Debit.”

• Credit for online sales will show has a “payment” on your invoice(s)
