James Dowell, Site Supervisor Work Experience: James has worked for Carmel Clay Parks and Recrea�on since

2009. He started as a facilitator at Orchard Park Elementary, then went to Prairie

Trace Elementary as the Assistant Site Supervisor. In February 2011, James moved

over to College Wood Elementary as the Site Supervisor. He loves all the kids, fam-

ilies and school staff here at College Wood and cannot wait to con�nue to see the

kids grow.

Fun Fact: James has fostered 8 dogs and coun�ng from a local Sled Dog Rescue Group.

Audrey Cooper, Assistant Site Supervisor Work Experience: This is Audrey’s second year at College Wood Elementary. Be-

fore coming to CW, Audrey was the Head Counselor at Orchard Park Elementary.

Audrey graduated from Cornerstone University in 2013 with an Interna�onal Stud-

ies degree. She loves working with children of all ages, encouraging them to ex-

plore and learn new things. Audrey has worked as a camp counselor and tutor with

an a7er-school program in Michigan. Audrey was also a Resident Assistant when

she was in college.

Fun Fact: Audrey LOVES coffee!

Shea Hurst, Head Counselor Work Experience: This is Shea’s second year at College Wood Elementary. Prior

experience includes working on various behavioral/psychiatric units in both Ohio

and Indiana. Shea graduated from a small college in Ohio with a degree in Social

Work. She is originally from Fort Wayne but grew up around Dayton, Ohio. The last

year and a half she has been living in various places in Indiana. She enjoys spending

�me with her husband and her 10 nieces and nephews!

Fun Fact: Shea also has a degree in Musical Theater!

Andy Go�schalk, Kid Counselor Work Experience: This is Andy’s second year working for ESE. He is currently a

senior at Carmel High School. Andy loves to play sports and has been playing bas-

ketball since he was 5 years old

Fun Fact: Andy is the oldest of 4 boys.

Michael Bray, Kid Counselor Work Experience: This is Michael’s second year working for ESE. Mike graduated

from Warren Central in 2011 and is currently pursuing a degree in music recording

and music business. In his free �me, he likes to play football, drum, and work out.

Fun Fact: Michael is a drummer for the Indiana Pacers.

Shandi Walker, Kid Counselor

Work Experience: This is Shandi’s 6th school year with the ESE program. She has

worked in almost all of the posi�ons available in the ESE program. She has worked

at Orchard Park, Towne Meadow, and College Wood. Shandi is also an Instruc�on-

al Assistant during the day here at College Wood. She is stoked to be back at Col-

lege Wood this year!

Fun Fact: In her free �me, Shandi is finishing her Elementary Ed and Special Ed degree and raising 3 boys!

KaTiana Breland, Kid Counselor Work Experience: KaTiana is currently a Senior at Carmel High School. This is KaTi-

ana’s third year with ESE. KaTiana previously worked at Bub’s Burgers in the Ice

Cream Shop! She has babysat for friends and family. KaTiana is also a former

Smoky Row ESE Alumni, so she is excited to experience ESE from the perspec�ve of

a Kid Counselor!

Fun Fact: KaTiana has two younger twin brothers and an older sister who was in

the first gradua�ng class from ESE in 2006!

Allyson Gonzalez, Kid Counselor Work Experience: This is Allyson’s second year at College Wood ESE but her experi-

ence with kids began in the 6th grade. She volunteered at a summer camp that

year. She helped to chaperone 1st graders all day. Allyson worked at a camp for

three years.

Fun Fact: Allyson knows four languages.

Meghan Lacy, Kid Counselor Work Experience: Meghan Lacy is so excited to be working at College Wood this

year! This is her first school year at ESE, but she has previously worked Summer

Camp Series at The Summer Experience. She is a senior this year at University High

School and loves theater and photography. She is looking forward to an amazing

school year!

Fun Fact: Meghan is missing 10 bones!

Mitchell Adzema, Kid Counselor Work Experience: This is Mitchell’s second year at College Wood ESE. Mitchell is

a junior at Carmel High School. He loves movies, singing and dancing, in fact you

can find Mitchell working at CCPR Success on Stage summer camp last summer

and this coming summer. Mitchell thinks this is the greatest job ever!

Nicole Carman, Kid Counselor Work Experience: This is Nicole’s second year working at ESE. She recently gradu-

ated from Carmel High School. She played clarinet in the marching band. She

loves animals and has two dogs and a cat. Nicole has a brother who is a senior at

Carmel High School and a sister who is in nursing school at IUPUI. Nicole is plan-

ning to study elementary educa�on.

Susan Heckaman, Kid Counselor Work Experience: This is Susan’s second year working at College Wood ESE. Susan

grew up in Lebanan Oh and completed a bachelors degree in wildlife science at

Purdue University. She is married with one child who aEended ESE at Orchard

Park Elementrary and lives near the Monon Center. In her free �me, she enjoys

running, being outside and playing the guitar.

Fun Fact: Susan once ate a worm.

Alexis Derbique, Kid Counselor Work Experience: Alexis is 19 years old and this is her second year working with

kids. She absolutely loves it! The kids are amazing and very good kids. Alexis as-

pires to be a correctional officer. She recently graduated from Westfield High

School.

Javier Colon, Kid Counselor Work Experience: This is Mr. Colon’s second year working mornings at College

Wood. I am excited to see all the kids from last year and meet new students as well.

I event went to College wood as a student in 2006 when I was in 5th grade!

Fun Fact: Javier lived in Miami for 10 years.

Adam Williams, Kid Counselor Work Experience: This is Mr. Williams first year with ESE. I am studying public

safety emergency management at IUPUI. I have worked with kids at Springhill

camps and have worked at Northview church for 6 years at Sunday school.

Fun Fact: I jump out of planes for the Indiana Na�onal Guard.

Jamesha Jones, Kid Counselor Work Experience: This is Jamesha’s fourth year working for Carmel Clay Parks &

Recrea�on! Jamesha is the mother of two kids of her own. Her son Maleki is 8 and

her daughter Mariyah is 9. In her spare �me, Ms. Jones loves traveling.
