INVESTMENT - One of the largest manufacturing growth stories in the UK for a generation where production has almost trebled in past

five years.. - Over £1bn invested in infrastructure over the last few years at Solihull including:

- Europe’s largest Aluminium Body Shop and state-of-the-art Final Assembly Hall to support the production of the Jaguar XE which has resulted in a £500m investment and the job creation of 2,200 at Solihull.

- In 2012/13, 2,000 new jobs were created at Solihull to support the growth and £370m investment for the new Range Rover and Range Rover Sport including an aluminium body shop employing the latest low-energy aluminium body construction technologies.

RECRUITMENT - Headcount has doubled in the past four years and Solihull now employ over 9,000 people. - Reinforcing Jaguar Land Rover’s commitment to expanding its skills base, all new hourly employees undertake a

structured training programme which will include working towards an NVQ II qualification in Business Improvement Techniques.

- Jaguar Land Rover is one of 100 UK businesses signed up to the Armed Forces corporate covenant which supports the reintegration of the military forces into successful civilian careers and supports a wide range of events linked to the military including being the presenting partner for the international sporting event - the Invictus Games championed by Prince Harry.

- The Solihull plant has recruited over 80 ex-military personnel – over 50% of these in the past year. Solihull has also been the first to introduce the ‘Wounded, Injured, Sick’ training programme and ‘Early Service Leaver’ programme to support those leaving the Armed Forces.

- In April 2014, the Solihull plant began the first ‘sector-based work academy programme’ in conjunction with Jobcentre Plus to support job seekers in gaining vital skills and work experience to then help secure future employment. This training course reinforces Jaguar Land Rover’s wider commitment to employability which includes ‘Inspiring Tomorrow’s Workforce’ to address the on-going challenge facing young people to secure employment.
