Jackie Robinson was born on January 31, 1919 near Cairo, Georgia. He grew up on a plantation and he was very poor.

Jackie Met Rachel Isum at UCLA in 1940. They fell in love and got married on february 10th 1946.

Jackie Robinson served in the army from 1942- 1944. The white soldiers made Jackie sit in the back of the bus. He could not be an officer because he was black. He was treated horribly.

JACKIE ROBINSON WAS A VERY GOOD ATHLETE IN HIGH SCHOOL & COLLEGE. HE MET BRANCH RICKY ON AUGUST 26TH AND SIGNED UP TO PLAY FOR THE DODGERS - AN ALL WHITE TEAM. for a long time.

In 1962 Jackie Robinson was elected to the baseball hall of fame because he was a very good player and he had a good attitude.

Jackie Robinson died on october 24 1972 in stamford connecticut.

One thing I learned is that jackie robinson was the first african

american to play in the major leagues.

Jackie RObinson is a changemaker because he was one of the first black players. he had a really

good attitude and he ignored all the bad words people said to him and the trash they threw at him.
