PhD program The objective of the PhD in Business Administration is to prepare you

for a career in academia by building your understanding of the substantive domains and literature within your selected area of concentration. The PhD program provides you with the methodological and analytical tools required for executing research and creating knowledge. It develops your skills in formulating, conducting, and communicating quality research. In the process, it also fosters your ability to teach effectively.

The PhD program typically requires four years of full-time study: two-and-a-half years of coursework and summer projects, and a year-and-a-half of dissertation research.

You will take a minimum of sixteen courses, with at least six of them in your chosen area of concentration. You also will complete summer research projects under faculty supervision.

For a detailed description of the PhD program, please read the PhD manuel.

Scholarship The college offers a number of scholarship

opportunities provided through the generosity of both individuals and corporations. Most scholarships are awarded in the summer for the following academic year.

To be eligible to apply for scholarships, applicants must be seeking a degree in a major or program offered within the college. For most scholarships, undergraduates must be enrolled full time (12 credit hours or more) during the period for which they receive a scholarship. Financial need is a criterion for some scholarships, but it is not a requirement for application.
