If one desires to see someone continue enjoying an advantage or a blessing

If one desires that someone’s advantage or blessing be taken away
from him
VICE
The Holy Prophet (saaw) said:“A mu'meen yagbith (ghibtah) while a munafiq yahsud (hasad)”
RESULTHASAD
(JEALOUSY)
Deserves chastisement both in this world & hereafter
VICE
Finds no peace in life
Destroys all the good works one has done
The Holy Prophet (saaw) said:“Jealousy consumes virtues as fire comsumes wood”
CURE/TREATMENT
HASAD(JEALOUSY)
Concentrate on the evil effects of Powers of Passion and Anger
Contemplate the negative psychological & spiritual effects of jealousy on one’s self & to note that it doesn’t effect the others
Try to create within one’s self the virtue of Nasihah. In the beginning, it may be necessary to impose upon one’s self the attitude necessitated by this virtue not withstanding his inner inclinations to the contrary.
Practice continuously, till jealousy is overcome & Nasihah becomes established as trait of character.
