CALL FOR PAPERS
This I Symposium is a forum opened to scien9fic research and the theore9cal, instrumental, and empirical analysis of the present situa9on concerning the management of communica9on that is carried out by media and ins9tu9onal and corporate organiza9ons. The event covers the subject from the threefold perspec9ve of the media, as the main industrial and economic players in present-‐day society; of the media scene, which is suffering the technological transforma9on; and of the corporate and ins9tu9onal organiza9ons, whose strategic objec9ve is to be involved in the social media9on processes. Submi]ed papers should be related with at least one of the ten proposed themes. Also, authors are encouraged to send free communica9ons. All accepted papers will be available on CD-‐ROM, which will be distributed to all par9cipants, and on the website. Both of them will have their own ISBN. Also, works passing the second double-‐blind review will be published in a book -‐ not Proceedings -‐ edited by Springer. Presenta9ons of papers may be performed in person or virtually, but, in any case, at least one of the authors must be enrolled in the conference. The Interna9onal Network of Communica9on Management, XESCOM, is a project launched in 2014 by four Galician research groups –Novos Medios (University of San9ago de Compostela), iMARKA (University of A Coruña), NECOM (University of Vigo) and MILE (University of Vigo). The other collabora9ve scholars on this project belong to: the University of Fernando Pessoa; the Department of Modern Languages and Literature from Azores; the Centre of Communica9on and Society Studies from the University of Minho (Portugal); the Media and Society Group from the Autonomous University of Tamaulipas; and the Communica9on Schools from the Technical Par9cular University of Loja and the Pon9fical Catholic University of Ecuador. Coordina9on of the project is ensured by the Professor Francisco Campos from the University of San9ago de Compostela. PROPOSED THEMES 1. Media industry and its economy: from the crisis to the new models. 2. Regulatory and self-‐regulatory policies to sustain quality. 3. Journalism within a mul9-‐plaiorm and mul9-‐screen scenario. 4. Research on the products made in entertainment factories. 5. From tradi9onal marke9ng, audiences and recep9on studies to the new digital metrics. 6. Corporate and ins9tu9onal communica9on.
7. Neuro-‐communica9on, poli9cal communica9on, and adver9sing. 8. New methods of communica9on management: from metamedia to the digital social networks. 9. Study of the implementa9on of new tools, professional profiles, informa9on technologies, and Big
Data. 10. Academic social networks: communica9on and indicators of digital research impact. 11. Free communica9ons.

SUBMISSION Prospec9ve authors are encouraged to submit (through the website www.simposioxescom.org) their abstracts for evalua9on by the Program Commi]ee. Once the paper is accepted, authors must send the final version, which should follow the publishing standards (available on the website www.simposioxecsom.org). At least one of the authors must be registered in the Congress. Also scheduled presenta9on online communica9ons on schedule for each. Please take into account the important dates:

REGISTRATION Registra9on for the Symposium will be processed through the applica9on form available on the website www.simposioxescom.org following the specific instruc9ons for each type of transfer (physically in any of ABANCA branch offices, on-‐line, from other banks or from outside Spain). Then, authors must send an email to [email protected] a]aching proof of payment. Students benefi9ng from the reduce-‐rate must send also a copy of undergraduate transcript to [email protected].
