Canterbury IV Project Group Goals� Provide leadership to the Canterbury region on IV Therapy
� To provide an interface for healthcare providers in the
Canterbury Region who currently certify IV Therapy as a
competency
� To provide support and education to IV Link staff on best
practice across the IV therapy continuum
� Work collaboratively providing expert input and the sharing of
resources allowing IV Therapy practices and process to be
standardised where it is appropriate and safe to do so
� To provide tools/support for managing infusion therapy risks
through Audit activities and Education

purpose of the Health Practitioners Competence
Assurance Act 2003 (HPCA Act) is to protect the health and
safety of members of the public by providing mechanisms
