    TEEN DRUG ADDICTION

During adolescence, life is challenging and everyone has

to deal with the changes and t in it accordingly. These

changes occur as we grow into an adult. CBS (Columbia

Broadcasting system) news report that a recent survey

indicates approximately two million teens between the

age of 12 to 17 currently need treatment for a substance

abuse problem, but only 150,000 get the help they need.

Drug addiction is a social evil in India. It is the

tragedy of our country that millions of youth, who are

termed as future of the country, are found as victims of

drug addiction. This social evil affects the individual as

well as the nation as a whole. It not only effects the mental

and physical development of an individual but also affect

    the development of the country.

Various types of drugs come to the market

through smugglers, dishonest traders and peddlers. At

rst the students and youths take it out of curiosity or to y

to dream-land of intoxication, then gradually they

develop a habit of in taking drugs.

The habit of drug addiction gradually takes over

them and they can never shake-off this habit. The effect of

these dangerous drugs is very fatal and horrible, it spoils

the stomach, effects the nerves and disturbs the chemical

balance of the body. Even the addicts feel weak and shaky.

Finally a situation comes, which could not be tackled

easily and later changes to critical position and the

preventive measures become ineffective. So, a general

awareness should be done by the government to awake

the sleeping people, the guardians and the youths to ght

off the evil and make the country a drug free nation.

    I N W H I C H D I R E C T I O N I N D I A I S G O I N G

Is constitution at stake? What was the basic thought or idea of our constitution? Did our constitution was ever able to establish the secularism and democracy? What is economic equality for India? Can our government would ever be able to x accountability in each and every department of our country. Lots of such question comes in our mind whenever we think about India. 'Ambedkar's enunciation that real independence was achieved for India with the c o m i n g i n t o f o r c e o f t h e constitution on January 26, 1950 constituted the statement of enormous signicance. In our constitution there is laws that guaranties equal rights to all, provides the frame work for the weaker and exploited section of the society and for the social economic advancement of the nation. Ambedkar's vision of one person one value has any s i gn icance i n t he p r e sen t scenario? In today's India if something has prominence that is politics and power. Empowerment of weaker and exploited section never can be possible with the development pattern and policies of India. India always follows an Enclave Pattern of Development. In this 21st century 70% area of India is still undeveloped because of biased politicians and due to the way of development. In the present scenario we can see politics plays an important role in our country. Every issue, riots, agitation, trades, games and even terrorism, whatever we have to think and work on, is somehow related to the politics. Politicians want to control and conquer the diverse country like India. They know how to play with the emotion of the citizens. They always tried to instigate people about religion, caste, class hierarchy for their vested interest. They are master in this art. They always take a right way to push people towards wrong deeds and even keep them blind folded. Indians perception about corruption is that there are stful people

(Politicians, businessmen, bureaucrats) in our country who are corrupted but most of the people of our country are corrupt in some or the other manner. We can understand this by an easy example, most of the students do not study properly and cheat or lie to their family, no one wants to stand in queue at the banks, RTO, and other government departments and give bribe to the employees of those department and get their work done, we break the rules of trafc etc. In These small examples we can see

the corruption is entrenched in our roots. The people who stand solidly behind the politicians in election time, they also have vested interest, some wants to build their shop in prohibited areas, some wants land, some wants license for their business etc . No one wants betterment of our country. Who w a n t s t h e b e t t e r m e n t a n d d e v e l o p m e n t t h e y d o n o t participate in voting etc. and may be they think that their vote and thinking is countless. They are busy with their own lives, and politicians

as well as bureaucrats taking benet from it. There is strong need to regulate the duties of politicians and amendment of some sections of the constitution of our country. Constitution is like a root of our country. Each and every person is directly connected to it. The government should enact rigid law for secularism, should remove or amend the reservation system, should use the government fund for the development of remote and undeveloped areas, should make the education system strong more practical and equal . Students are the future of our country, so it is their right to get equal education in same medium. The concept of English and Hindi medium is very partial because it sets the inequality for competition in so many elds. If our leaders become unbiased and more dedicated towards the development of our nation only then we can say that India is going to be on right way or track.

NATURE MOURED Save MeWe are surrounded by the beautiful essence of nature. We people are blessed that we are born on this blue planet namely earth. Nature not only includes greenery but also the water that is precious resource for humans as well as all other living things. The earth has its own mesmerizing sound for those who listens to it in the form of chirping of different birds, the croaking of frogs on rainy days, the hissing of snakes in the jungle, the cracking sound of a pigeons hatching eggs,a gently babbling brook etc. N a t u r e i s t h e phenomena of the physical world. But this physical state at a snail's pace is vanishing and leaving no marks for our future generation. Yes! This statement is slowly becoming true when we observe the rivers, lakes, oceans getting exploited by the direct attachment of drainage system and sanitary lines direct into the streams and rivers. Due to this it has been proved by the environmentalists that about 1.2 billion people on this planet lack the safe drinking water supplies especially including those of rural and backward areas such as village of Nanjangud taluk of Mysore district. Apart from this famous cities like Jamshedpur,Kanpur, Madurai, Hyderabad etc. There are many conicts

regarding water such as Indus water conict, Kaveri conict, Yamuna-Sutlej link conict etc. Nature is not only shouting for water protection but also the rapidly cutting down of trees known as deforestation which leads to global warming. It is stated that this commercial uses of cutting trees such as for medicine and drug, timber for building houses, paper

industry, re woods, etc creating approximately the budget around 30,000 per year. The

    highest deforestation is taking place in the beau t i fu l va l l ey o f Dehradun and Mussoorie where trees are cut down to extract useful mineral especial ly c h a l k ( c h u n n a ) f r o m t h e mountains and exploiting its

natural green beauty which acts like green blanket on the earth and

causing landslides destroying many houses, great soil erosion and

    ooding. Nature brings us everything

we need to survive: food, shelter, water, warmth and we have used up to 30% of our nature.Nature lovers can hear the mournful cry of the nature shouting to save and protect it. How humans in today's world can be so heartless that they ignore this pain of our goddess who is still tolerating

such pains and shouting for help 'SAVE ME!'

In nature, crying is okay. Waterfalls cry all the time.

    ADOLESCENCE

Adolescence is a transitional stage of physical and psychological development that generally occurs during the period from puberty to legal adulthood and later puberty changes to post-puberty. It could be felt and seen during teenage through its physical and psychological symptoms. In some it could begin earlier and in some during adulthood. It is a phase of life where a young person develops from a child into an adult. For example, puberty generally begins during preadolescence, particularly in females. Physical growth and cognitive development can extend up to early twenties. Thus age provides only a rough marker of adolescence, and scholars have found difculty to agree upon a precise denition of adolescence. T h e e n d o f adolesce n c e a n d t h e beginnin g of adulthood

varies by country and even depend on lifestyle, diet and genes. In country like India girls are considered adult at the age of eighteen and boys at the age of twenty one where as in country like USA adulthood starts from sixteen. When we study we will nd, even within a single nation, state or culture there can be different ages at which an individual is considered mature enough for society to entrust them with certain privileges & responsibilities. Adolescence is usually accompanied by an increased independence allowed by the parents who are termed as legal guardians, including less supervision as compared to pre-adolescence.

Union Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley on February 1, 2017 presented Union Budget 2017-18 in the Lok Sabha. This was the third full year Budget of the NDA government. Jaitley claimed double digit ination has been controlled and sluggish growth replaced by high growth. With demonetisation a war on black money was launched which was a bold and decisive move. The budget this year focuses on poverty eradication, issues of farmer and rural development. The nance minister announced ten pillars of the budget and they are the farming sectors, the rural population, the youth, the poor, and underprivileged health care, infrastructure, the nancial sector for stronger institutions, speedy accountability, public services, prudent scal management and tax administration for the honest Technology was mentioned time and again as a key enabler in a lot of government initiatives. Some of the key highlights of the Budget included soil-testing labs in Krishi Vigyan Kendras, GST awareness program from Apri1 l 2017, strengthening of digital payments infrastructure, Post ofces, fair price shops and banking correspondents to promote cashless transactions, tax rate reduction on salaries, dismantling of FIPB (Foreign Investment Promotion Board) and much more. The Union Budget 2017-18 is extremely positive for the common man, farmers, small and medium businesses men and would drive signicant growth in Indian economy. The tax relief given by the Government for the middle class tax payers will denitely boost the purchasing power, thereby aiding the overall growth of the economy. 2017-18 Budget has denitely brought some cheer to the healthcare sector as this will benet the common man and to the companies operating in the sector. The nance minister's budget will widen the accessibility of essential drugs across the country along with revisions in the Drugs and Cosmetics Rules. These amendments will ensure availability of medicines at reasonable prices to the common man. It seems that the Union Budget 2017 presented by Mr. Jately would be effective in the mentioned elds. As Kerala becomes the rst Indian state to declare access to internet a human right, we have serious concerns to ponder over this move. Internet addiction, a relatively new phenomenon on the rise, has been termed a disorder. Revolution in the gadget industry and increased internet proliferation has made access to the WWW a child's play. Add to it the benevolence of Jio, the LTE mobile network, and the accessibility of mobile d a t a b e c o m e s extravagant, at no extra price. Truly priceless!Surprising still is the v i e w o f U n i t e d Nations regarding the availability of internet. United N a t i o n s recommends that e v e r y c o u n t r y s h o u l d m a k e access to internet a Fundamental human right as well. In 2016, it said that depriving people of Internet connectivity was a human r igh ts v io la t ion r u n n i n g c o n t r a r y t o international law. Owing to intense competition in the Smartphone industry, affordability is not a problem anymore. A wide range of latest handsets available in the market start from around Rs 6k. This makes Smartphone users the biggest consumers of internet too. According to the annual FICCI-KPMG Indian Media and Entertainment Industry Report 2015, mobile phone subscriber base in India is almost nine times the installed base of personal computers. Households have increasingly begun to own more handsets than the number of people in the house. However, internet usage is a rage that needs much thought, and off course monitoring. The internet xation manifests itself in a bigger way thorough

Smartphone addiction. The only difference between Smartphone addiction and any other is that it's socially accepted. But that doesn't mean it's not detrimental. The near-universal access to digital technology, starting at ever younger ages, is transforming modern society in ways that can have negative effects on physical and mental

    h e a l t h , n e u r o l o g i c a l d e v e l o p m e n t a n d

    personal relationships, not to mention safety on our roads and sidewalks. This t rend bodes ill for the future, not just of creativity but also of healthy bodies, m i n d s a n d r e l a t i o n s h i p s . People walking

down the street with eyes on their phones,

bumping into others , tripping over or crashing into obstacles is a common sight. Similarly, shelving work to spend more time on the phone is a sin we all have

been guilty of. This uncontrollable compulsion to stay in touch with the phone at all times has begun to shrink the brain capacities putting users at a higher risk of depression, obsessive compulsion disorder, lack of social skills and increased cases of insomnia. Technology is a boon provided it is not abused. It has become appallingly obvious that our technology has exceeded our humanity. The thing to remember is that it is just a tool, to spread ideas, to communicate information, to connect with the world AND to make it a better one. By no means are we required to become slaves of our own invention. The sensible use or abuse of technology rests solely with us, its inventor.

Union Budget 2017-18The Use of Technology An Open Letter to Gurmehar Kaur

    Tripti Singh BAJMC VI

    Surbhi Manhas BAJMC II

Dear Gurmehar Kaur,I honestly respect the fundamental right of freedom of speech and expression and I strongly condemn the people who threatened you with rape and want them to be punished but like most of the others I am hurt by your choice of words and share the dilemma of honoring you as our martyred ofcer's daughter or castigate you for your words and actions. Let me rst clarify, I am not an ABVP supporter and never have been. In fact I do not support involvement of political parties in college campuses in whichever form. I am not a nationalist or pseudo-nationalist or anti-nationalist and neither do I label you with anyone of these tags. So whatever I say to you has no hidden political agenda. I am a patriot. I am a proud daughter of an Indian Airforce ofcer and I am proud of your father and others who martyred themselves for the sake of this country. Though to put some facts right your father didn't die in 'Kargil War'. He gained martyrdom protecting Amarnath Yatra from terrorists in OP-RAKSHAK. The place of his martyrdom doesn't make an iota of difference to us but we do object to you misrepresenting the facts. I am withdrawing from the campaign. Congratulations everyone. I request to be left alone. I said what I had to say. You say sarcastically. What exactly did you say Gurmehar? Pakistan did not kill my father, the war killed him. When you said it last year during 'Kargil Diwas', people did wrong to praise your lofty statements. What a humanitarian to forgive her father's killer and strive for peace! What maturity she showed! This year your maturity increased several folds and you forgot the reason your father gave his life for! Nothing wrong with the sentiment you echoed per se except it makes sense only in Utopian world. It's nonsensical in the real world. It doesn't reect your maturity as few people living within safe connes of your college campus may lead you to believe. You were immature child when you tried to stab a muslim

women believing her to be Pakistani who killed your father. And you are a grown up immature girl when you say Pakistan did not kill my father, the war did.

Let's stretch your argument by the same nonsensical though philosophically true logic.Pakistan didn't kill your father, the War killed him.But what leads to War? It's certainly a particular ideology so the statement changes toWar did not kill my father but ideology killed himNow the ideology behind War that Pakistan wage is just religion and the ideology behind the war India is forced to ght to defend itself is patriotism. So the statement now changes to-Ideology didn't kill my father religion killed him Now do you have the courage to hold the placard saying Your religion killed my father and show it on Pakistan television? And I assume that even you can't stoop to say Your patriotism killed my father on our national television. Pakistan till date has not owned its involvement in 'Kargil War' besides not owning the bodies of their dead soldiers. It maintains that it was a militant attack. Neither has Pakistan confessed to date about its involvement in Mumbai terror attacks or Pathankot terror attack or hundreds of such state sponsored terror attacks. You know what militant wants from India? To take Kashmir. You know why your father died? Ensuring, that Kashmir remains integral part of India. Do you remember that India never waged a war with Pakistan? It only defended itself every time. Going by your logic lets have peace with Pakistan. For Pakistan the only way to achieve this 'doubtful peace' is giving up Kashmir to them. Okay let's give it as peace offering! What then? Will there be peace? No next it will ask for Punjab-your home state. Let's offer it to Pakistan next. Will it lead to peace? No Ms Kaur, a day will come when Pakistan will gobble our nation with no sight of that

elusive peace we all seek. So Ms Gurmehar lets keep offering our nation to Pakistan to win peace and a day will come when you no longer will be allowed the right to study, let alone the freedom of speech and expression you and your friends are defending, demanding and exploiting all at the same time. No right to study, no right to show your face and certainly no right to preach your ideals as you will be among womenfolk of defeated 'Kar' nation to be raped, mutilated and humiliated. And know what? The enemy will do all this with religious sanction and promise of heaven after life! You remember 'Dangal' girl Zaira Wasim being forced to apologise recently and confess to not being proud to be called role model for Kashmiri youth. Is this the Azaadi you are asking for? I ask because that's the kind of people you are supporting. People like Umar Khalid. You do know that Umar Khalid is the son of Syed Qasim, the leader of Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI). Do you support Umar Khalid protest against hanging of Parliament attack master mind Afzal Guru or his commemorating Afzal Guru's death anniversary. Hope you appreciate the fact that the reason you are studying in Lady Shree Ram College with admission cut-off of 99.9% even with your lowly percentage of 76% is the martyr quota earned by your father. We as nation feel indebted to his supreme sacrice to offer you this academic seat . We as nation feel sad to see you mocking your father sacrice by negating the cause of his death. Its soldiers like your father who keeps this country safe for you and your friends. Remember India is a tolerant country and soldiers are defending its tolerance. You have every right to have a different viewpoint but please don't link them with the sacrice of your father.

Being A Student Is Just Not Easy

College life: the freedom, the sense of being grown up and the responsibility of us on our own shoulder! College life prepares us for the world that lies ahead. We learn a lot about ourselves and fellow homo-sapiens while living in the dorms and hostels, make certain discoveries and improvisations while we are on our own and nd ourselves in a difcult situation. But a student's life is not as easy as it appears from the outside. The everyday struggle of getting up in the morning and being attentive in class really takes a toll on their all night FB newsfeed scrolling regime. Apart from this there are many issues that almost every student faces throughout the college life. A good sound sleep is what most of the students crave all day long. The long lists of class projects and assignment work plays a spoilsport during many a nights, otherwise the students kill the night watching movies and

chatting away on their lappies. Either way, sound sleep is a luxury.

    Another interesting

fact about college life is that when it comes to exams and assignments, there is never a better time to prepare than the last day! Even if you have weeks to prepare for them you will leave them to the last few days. Seems like it is an unwritten law! Sometimes students make a teacher wonder that are they from the same planet? During exams many students end up writing their own made-up answers. Better yet end up writing freaking lm songs and stories! Creative huh? Apart from all these traumatic issues (that is what it is for us students) there is a pattern that is followed by almost every student at some point during college life whether for some it like an everyday drill. Topping the list are False Insecurities. This is not due for long! There is plenty of time to nish this (even if there are just 2 days to go). We really love to savior it till d moment of panic arises. Then there is the major issue that every student goes through and is quite hazardous I tell you- Laziness. Another thing us students are really good at and deserve a trophy for is our ability to make Excuses (P.S. While working on this article I am also guring out what excuse should I make about the assignments I haven't made so far). And then there is Denial. The project

is not due yet. Maybe the faculty forgot all about it. And what not just to comfort our heart. And then

the Eat Sleep Repeat cycle goes on. Despite all of this college life is

one of the best times of our life. The friendships

formed at this stage lasts a lifetime and

prepares us to take on the world. So make the most o f i t a n d treasure every moment.

    How Long?

I sometimes wonder how long before the day when women are equal to men in India not just in literary but in reality. I yearn for the day when I see double the number of women drivers out at night than I see now. I long for the day when I see men taking the initiative to help out around the house. I hanker for the day when helping out wives and listening to their logic does not mean emasculation for men. How long before a woman is nally absolved of her internal role in the kitchen? How long before phrases like a woman can't have it all' cease to exist? I want to see a day go by men no female driver is abused on based accusations of not be able to driver. I want to see women empowering each other, not berating each other. How can we expect men to participate in this struggle against inequality when women don't want to empower themselves? I want a woman to be strong enough to stand up for a self strong enough to realize she is being abused , strong enough to walk out if need be, strong enough to challenge conversations that bind her otherwise. How long before an ambitious woman is appreciated rather than being deemed selsh? I want to see how far a woman would go without these social and psychology norms pulling her back. Is equality too much of a bargain in India or are we not even trying?

The near-universal access to digital technology, starting at ever younger ages, is transforming modern society in ways that can have negative effects on physical and mental

    personal relationships, not to mention safety on our roads and sidewalks.

ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF INTERNETPawni Bharti BAJMC IV

    Nikhat JahanBAJMC II

In the past century man has come a long way owing to science and technology. The most important scientic development of the past decade has become the most powerful and popular tool which is none other than internet. However like every scientic i n v e n t i o n it has advantages as well as disadvantages. The most important advantage of the internet is that it helps us to connect with our loved ones who are in different parts of the globe with just a click of mouse or a by scrolling the nger on the mobile screen. I t a lso has diverse information on any topic whether it is current happening or a part of history, simply by typing the desired thing we can obtain the result. Professionals,

students, housewife at home, a businessman, etc. can gain huge benet from it. Apart from these, it is a popular as

well as most common source of entertainment these days and provides a variety of extremely useful

services. However, if one is not careful while using it, the one would suffer problems. The person's personal information like name, address, credit card number etc can be stolen and even misused. Surng accounts are hacked for accessing the

personal data. Moreover, students could get addicted to social networking and waste

their time that they need to spend in learning other interactive techniques.

IS MASS MEDIA INVADING INDIAN CULTURE

Mass media has great importance in the present era. The media has become a style statement more rather than a requirement. People have become dependent on the media for each and every requirement of their life. People have folded the world into their pockets in the form of mobile internet. Media has denitely got its hard impact on our culture. Our country is very much famous for its rich culture. With the emergence of globalization and westernization, our culture has got a big jerk and this has led to great instability in countries prestige and pride. The internet has given a wide scope of entry to shrink the

world into just a click. The social interactive sites like Facebook and the blogging sites like twitter have made interactions very easy. Media has planted its deep roots in the day to day life of the common man. People could hardly smell the air of freedom without the impact of media. We can conclude this thing that the issue is of great concern especially for the individuality of our nation and culture. Loss of culture is a huge loss of entire nation .We will lose our pride and dignity if we lose of our moral values. Hence, it is high time to realize the situation, recognize our actual place in the society and act wisely to save our culture and our country from major destruction.

'The Ghazi Attack': Submerged in mediocrity

Film: The Ghazi Attack; Director: Sankalp Reddy; Cast: Rana Daggubati, Atul Kulkarni, Kay Kay Menon, Rahul Singh, Om Puri and Taapsee Pannu; Rating: **Purportedly an underwater war lm set on the basis 1971 Indo-Pak war.

The Ghazi Attack is the story of the triumph of India's submarine S-21 over Pakistan's PNS Ghazi, a submarine set out to destroy INS Vikrant.

On the face of it an interesting premise, it could have been an engaging lm, replete with drama, action and patriotic fever. Instead, it is a forced attempt at including all these ingredients in a mediocre fare that makes for tedious viewing sans any entertainment quotient. Captain Ranvijay Singh (Kay Kay Menon), a hot-headed commander, spearheads the submarine S-21 along with a specially appointed ofcer named

Arjun (Rana Daggubati) and second ofcer, the loyal and subservient Devaraj (Atul Kulkarni), when it sets out on a mission to combat Pakistan's PNS Ghazi

led by a clever commander Razaak Khan (Rahul Singh). The two-hour lm is set in the interiors of the submarine.

The deliberate inclusion of action, melodrama and even patriotism, appears cliched. It reeks of a poorly written script and screenplay. At no instance is the lm

thrilling or even remotely intriguing. The entire narrative drags at an even keel, with no emotional chord that tugs at your heart as the viewer feels distanced from

the unreal characters. On the performance front, Rana Daggubati is strictly mediocre, but the fault lies with the poor script and not his abilities. He delivers what is expected of him, although unconvincingly. Kay Kay Menon is equally a victim of a badly crafted character and appears lopsided. Add to that is his forced Punjabi accent which is jarring and inadvertently elicits a chuckle.Atul Kulkarni is sincere and by far the most realistic, both in terms of the character as well as portrayal. Taapsee Pannu is wasted, and so is the late veteran actor Om Puri. The cinematography deserves a mention and although unabashedly meshed with computer generated images, it succeeds in making an impact. The only area where the lm is scoring is the technical department.Predictable from word go, The Ghazi Attack fails to engage, thrill or even evoke a sense of patriotism.

Om Puri Honoured at Oscars 2017Indian actor Om Puri, whose repertoire as an actor reected a rare realism and was popular for lms like East Is East, Gandhi, City of Joy and Wolf, was honoured at the 89th Academy Awards ceremony here in the In Memoriam montage. Om Puri, who died after a heart attack in Mumbai, India in January earlier this year, got a musical tribute by Grammy and Tony-nominated singer and songwriter Sara Bareilles. Bareilles delivered a special performance of the Joni Mitchell song Both sides now. A visibly emotional actress Jennifer Aniston introduced the memoriam segment. Om Puri was remembered at the awards ceremony, which was held at the Dolby Theatre here on Sunday. He was included in the annual montage along with Carrie Fisher, Prince, Gene Wilder, Michael Cimino, Patty Duke, Garry Marshall, Anton Yelchin, Mary Tyler Moore, Curtis Hanson and John Hurt. Bareilles created an emotional moment as she rendered the song in memory of all the departed souls. Om Puri was known for his deep baritone and different acting style, as well as craggy, pockmarked but distinctive face. He had an afnity towards socially relevant cinema. A National School of Drama alumnus, Om Puri nurtured an international career, which started with a cameo in Richard Attenborough's iconic Gandhi. Among some of his British lms were My Son the Fanatic, East Is East and The Parole Ofcer. He also appeared in Hollywood lms including City of Joy, Wolf and The Ghost and the Darkness. A Padma Shri awardee and National Award-winner, Om Puri was also made the honorary ofcer of the Order of the British Empire for his services to the British lm industry.

Deepika denies doing remake of 'Mr & Mrs. Smith'

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone on 23rd Feb negated the reports that she was doing the ofcial remake of Hollywood movie Mr & Mrs Smith.Well, let's set the record straight because there have been a lot of rumours regarding a lot of lms I am supposedly doing. I think usually there is a lot of dignity involved when an actor is approached for a lm, whether it's a narration or when an actor saying yes or no to a lm, she said at the launch of Gillette Venus Breeze. I had always maintained, when I am offered a lm, I'll talk about it, if not, I'll never talk about it. All the speculation can go on. The only lm I am doing now is Padmavati, it's consuming all my life. When I have something else to talk about I will do that, she added. The Bajirao Mastani star said: There is a certain decorum, conduct when you're offered a lm, whether you do it or don't. I feel it's not a very classy thing when an untrue information is given out regarding my work. After making the Hollywood debut with xXx: The Return of Xander Cage, there were reports that Deepika may walk the red carpet at the Academy Awards. However, when quizzed about her Oscar appearance, the actress, clearing the air, said: That's an interesting question about no. Padmavati is helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and also features Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in pivotal roles.
