Nature is the marvelous creator for-ever. It makes, paints, gives life, in the way we cant ever imagine. Forest is a combina-tion of those amazing creations. Trees, an-imals, butterflies, insects, waterfalls, revers, mountains are some of them. We are living in busy towns, afar of those beauty hidden under tree most of the time. It was a very cold day. Apart from busy university life we visited Roonakanda forest. It was a day full of joy and happiness and we Leos had one of the most awesome days in our lives.

When sun comes to the forest we were there with an environmental journalist who is also the person in charge of the for-est reserve and was our guide to the jungle too. He served us with Beli mal and gave us a lecture about the forest and some of our food habits too.

LEO TRIP

We entered in to the magnificent gift of the nature, the forest, we felt it was another world where. There was no stress, work and it was very peaceful and calm and very beautiful. The trees were very beautiful which were densely packed. In there we met nice lake, it was a very beautiful place and the water was crystal clear. We continued our walk to a milestone of the journey and arrive to a river. Then on-wards our walk was continued through the river jumping from rock to rock and even walking in water above the knee height. It

was a wonderful time. Surroundings were adding color and music to our journey all the time. We met a waterfall which consisting two stages and it was a great scenery. We climbed to a rock in there and relaxed. We just lie on the rock and close our eyes and enjoy the nature by heart, but not by eyes. It was a feeling which we never had before, it was the universe. On the way back we stopped at a natural pool and had a bath. The water was so cool and fresh.We said good bye to the grand place ever, without keeping anything in their other than our vestige. And with taking anything from their other than photographs and memories.

Trees, an-imals, butterflies, insects, waterfalls, revers, mountains and their diversity adds color to the forest. But unfortunately we are forced to live in busy towns, far away from those beau-ties.

Therefore the UOM Leos decided to arrange our annual trip to Roonakanda which was a forest in the borders of three districts Galle, Kalutara and Rathnapaura. It was a day full of joy and happiness and we Leos had one of the most awesome days in our lives.

He served us with Beli mal and gave us a lecture about the forest and some of our food habits before the hike into the woods.

The trees were densely packed, creating a canopy above us and protecting us from the sun. Half way through the forest we came to a nice lake. It was very beautiful and the water was crystal clear. Then onwards our walk was continued through the river jumping from rock to rock and even walking in water above the knee height. It was a wonderful time. The surroundings were adding color and music to our journey all the time. We met a waterfall which con-sisted of two stages and it was a great scenery. We climbed to a rock and relaxed. We just laid on the rock and closed our eyes and enjoyed the nature by our hearts. It was a feeling which we have never had before and it removed all the tress from our minds. On the way back, we stopped at a natural pool and had a bath. The water was so cool and fresh.

After spending some quality time playing in the water we said good bye to the grand place ever, without leaving anything in there other than our vestige and without taking anything from there other than photographs and memories.

Remember that the happiest peo-ple are not those getting more, but those giving more. So keep smiling & be happy because one day life will get tired by up-setting you.

Having a mind filled with negative thoughts will lead to a negative life, and a mind filled with positivity will breed a positive one. If you constantly think about bad things in your life like your recent mistake, then it take up a misappropri-ate amount of mental space. Although life gives us hundred reasons to cry, its good to face them with a smile rather than worrying and repenting on them. As the unattributed quote goes, Watch your thoughts as they become words ,watch your words as they become actions, watch your actions as they become habits, watch your habits as they become characters, watch your character as it becomes your destiny. If somebody puts you down or criticizes you, just keep on believing your-self and turn it into something positive. Work hard for what you want because it wont come to you without a fight. We have to be strong and courageous and know that you can do anything you put on your mind to.

We cant change the world within one night, but if we try to add just a few smiles with optimism, then its a great job for the whole mankind.

Power of LEO Brotherhood

QuIz1. Rabbit has to jump two hops before it can eat a carrot (Shown in red lines). 2. There is a carrot at the starting point.

3. Mid-point (Number 2) can have placed a carrot at the mo-ment of Rabbit jumping or can be a place where the Rabbit already ate the carrot which were place at that point. 4. End point should have placed a carrot and if the rabbit jumped according to aforesaid rules, it can eat the carrot placed at end point (Number 3).5. Then the Rabbit should recognize another starting point which can be satisfying rule 1, 2, 3 and 4. 6. Rabbit can only jump along straight line (Number 1, 2 and 3 should be in a straight line).

There is a star shaped track as shown in the following figure. Someone has placed carrots at each joint (Shown by the blue color dots in the figure). There is a rabbit and it can eat these carrots. But there are some conditions.

In that way rabbit have to eat maxi-mum number of carrot placed on the track. Imagine that you are the rabbit and make model, try do to it. The question is not the possible number of carrot can be pick up by the rabbit. Identify and explain by one sentence the way have to be followed to pick all carrot except one.
