A CHANGE FOR THE BETTERWe started by asking installers what changes they would like to see made to our famous Hep2O fitting. Below are the results of what they most wanted in a push-fit fitting:

After 3 years of research and development, the Next Generation Hep2O was ready for testing. In focus groups up and down the country we let installers try the new fitting for themselves.

We then asked installers to compare the new fitting with their favourite push-fit fitting that they use all the time. As you can see, the feedback was overwhelmingly in favour of the new, Next Generation Hep2O.

After many years consulting with professional installers, exhaustive R&D and extensive testing and re-testing, new Hep2O is here. Now in white and with a sleek new look, it’s packed with revolutionary new technology to save the professional time and effort.

New In4Sure™ joint recognitionAptly named In4Sure™, new Hep2O fittings can now tell you when the pipe is fully inserted. This is a major step forward in plumbing technology, and like any good idea it’s amazingly simple.

The super-versatile SmartSleeve™The profiled end of the redesigned SmartSleeve™ pipe insert works with internal castellations inside the new Hep2O fitting to offer never experienced before joint recognition. Just insert the pipe, push, twist and feel for the ‘rumble’ as the two profiled surfaces come into contact with each other. Making a 100% secure connection is as easy as that.

The new stainless steel SmartSleeve™ also offers another big advantage – it doesn’t fall out of the pipe. Specially designed barbs on the barrel ensure it is captive within the pipe and is therefore not left inside the fitting when demounting, nor will it fall out of a vertical pipe run.

Secure demountingA big leap forward in pipe release technology, the all-new HepKey™ system makes demounting quicker, easier and more secure than ever before. The HepKey™ simply clips around the pipe and depresses the inner sleeve of the fitting. This opens the grab-ring and releases the pipe. This means the fitting is tamper-proof, as it can only be demounted with the HepKey™. So as well as demounting being fast and simple, the fitting is completely secure.Two types of HepKey™ are available. The HepKey Plus™ clips onto the fitting and holds the grab-ring open, while the smaller pocket size HepKey™ clips around the pipe and needs to be held against the fitting. Both release the pipe with the minimum of effort and make demounting quick and simple.

The unique Hep2O 50 year guaranteeTo ensure the new range has the levels of reliability demanded by the professionals, the new range of fittings are put through their paces at Hep2O’s fully accredited testing facility. Only when they have proved themselves under appropriate temperature, pressure and loading conditions are Hep2O happy to give them their unique, industry-leading 50 year guarantee. So chances are the Next Generation Hep2O push-fit plumbing system will be working long after today’s professional installers have retired.

Same great pipe – now in whiteNot everything has changed. The much-praised Hep2O pipe remains the same. Still exceptionally flexible, still comes off the coil in straight useable lengths and can still be easily cabled into position, the only thing that’s changed is the colour. All Metal Grab-RingThe all metal grab ring is made from high quality stainless steel. It is amazingly strong and able to grip both plastic and copper pipe. The carefully angled teeth have been aligned for easy fitting and maximum grip.

Joint RecognitionOne of the main gripes with Installers is that they never know when the pipe is fully inserted in the fitting. The Next Generation Hep

2O has joint recognition

technology which tells the Installer when the pipe is fully inserted. To check that the pipe is fully inserted, insert pipe and turn. The installer will feel a rumble which tells you that the pipe is fully inserted.

PipeOur much-praised polybutylene pipe cuts, bends and comes off the coil straight, in exactly the same way it always has. In fact, the only thing that’s changed is the colour, now in white to match the new fittings.

so that it requires less force to insert the pipe. The new SmartSleeve™ has a profiled end so that the pipe can be inserted easier, reducing the strength required to fit and installation time required.

The New Colour Coding SystemThe Hep

2O packaging has also changed. Each size

variant will have its own colour. This new style packaging will:

• Ensure visual impact of stock on the shopfloor for the customer

• Make the sizes easier to identify for both customers and branch staff (ie. 10mm is green)

Packaging is colour coded by size (as above) for easy identification. Barrier pipes follow the same colour scheme, but with striped packaging. (Please see below)
