SAP is asked to provide one aligned
release schedule / release notes across
all SAP Public Cloud offerings. Today, it is
challenging to find out dependencies
between public cloud products in relation
to OnPrem components.
It is expected to communicate the release
schedule and potential dependencies to
OnPrem components at least 18 months
in advance.
Functional changes and new features
can be explained later: 3 to 6 months in
advance would be sufficient.

Maintenance Management
Lessons learned and derived requirements
To reduce efforts for regression testing
maintenance for all SAP Public Cloud
offerings should be done at the same time.
Furthermore synchronization with upgrade of
OnPrem components is necessary.
In case of business critical issues with a new
release at only few customers, certain
flexibility would be appreciated (e.g. shift to
another cluster with later maintenance slot).
The cloud provider shall apply any changes to
SAP Public Cloud software, in a way that full
business continuity is ensured on OnPrem
landscape (near zero downtime).
