IN THE HEIGHTS SET JUSTIFICATION

This is my initial design for my part of the set. I read the script and took all the references into account. I also did some research into typical American suburbs and took that into account as well

This is our groups final design. We looked at all our designs and consulted each one of our designs. Then we picked from all of them and decided what looked best taking into account the time frame and the budget.

At the end of Act 1, there is a riot and in Act 2 it becomes visible to the audience. So in the interval we decided we are adding the trash cans and rubbish and the graffiti which will be stuck on a board to give the illusion that there has been a riot. Because we cant destroy the set because the show has to run for several performances.
