Individual Databases• Databases are usually organized

by major subject i.e. nursing, business, etc

• Benefit: use advanced search tools to find millions of trustworthy, subject-specific resources Detriment: you have to choose and search multiple databases

• Use your Research Guide to discover these!

Discovery Search

• Searches majority of LRC’s databases all at once

• Benefit: you just search—simple and convenient

• Detriment: You don’t get the specific treatment and advanced search capabilities of individual databases.
