The word “Italian” has always implied more than a nationality. It is an axiom of excellence, a stamp of perfect craftsmanship. Made in Italy epitomizes art of living. That is why there are so many attempts of imitation.

Perhaps nowhere do we Italians demonstrate this than in the fields of design and food.

To celebrate the best our nation has to offer, and in the framework of Expo Milan 2015, titled “Feeding the planet. Energy for life”, the Embassy of Italy in Israel, in collaboration with the Israel Italy Chamber of Commerce, the Italian Trade Agency and the Italian Cultural Institute is proud to launch the conference “Food for Thoughts” in the framework of the Holon Design Week and a series of events in Tel Aviv. We intend to offer a “taste” of what Italian gastronomy, innovation and creation are all about.

We are proud to collaborate with the Design Museum of Holon, with the leading academic schools of designs in Israel and with some Italian internationally known designers, architects and experts. Tel Aviv and Holon will be the venues of an unique interdisciplinary experience, the foretaste of the huge world event of this year where you all are invited: Expo Milan.
