SAGHETTI E MANDOLINI

Behind the stereotypes

People eat only pizza and spaghetti.

Italians are not really pasta and pizza chomping.

They are warm, welcoming people who love relaxing and celebrating with family and friends usually around the table either at home or in a restaurant, where they can enjoy Italian cuisine followed by a good cup of coffee.

Italians gesticulate

In Italy, conversation is an art form!

If you live in Italy, as you walk in the streets or stop at a caf you will notice Italians of all ages engaged in intense and animated discussions on a wide variety of topics ranging from family, work, politics, gossip, food, wine and sports, and especially soccer!

Italians are very fashionable

MILAN FASHION WEEK

Italians dress stylishly for every possible occasion. You will never see an Italian wearing sporting short pants combined with long socks: it is simply against our fashion rules!

All Italian men are Mammas boys!

Italians stay at their parents' home until they have saved up enough money to pay for a flat.

This has earned Italians a reputation of being mummys boys.

Italians are very romantic.

Italians enjoy romance (just like everyone else more or less) and maybe the stereotype of the Italian romantic lover is not completely dead.

The Mafia

The Italian Mafia has captured Hollywoods imagination for years. Though the Italian mafia is quite real, it exists just like every other organised crime in every country around the world.

Italians are proud of their artistic inheritance

You may like it or not, Italy is a wonderful Country that is well worth a visit!
