You must remember that a coordinate is fixed (does not move) whereas a point can be plotted at different coordinates, so it can be moved.

Task - Complete the google form on Google classroom

English This week we are looking at Playscripts. Content domain D – To make inferences from the text/explain and justify inferences with evidence. Content domain E – Predict what might happen from details stated and implied.

Writing focus LI: To Analyse playscripts and explain their features L.I: To write a playscript with given characters and include all necessary features.

Input- Read the Google Slides presentation which goes through all the features of playscripts and their role in making the play performable. Task 1 - The children will complete a reading comprehension based on an extract from a play called, ‘The Conjuror’. Task 2 - The children will continue the play where it stopped and put in all the necessary features, including detailed stage directions which include: lighting, music, and special effect cues. As a challenge - they can rewrite the whole extract of the play from the start - including setting the scene, as well as continuing it from where the extract stops.

To accompany our study of Rivers, we have already learned about the water cycle and how all rivers run back to the sea.

This week, we are going to look at how to draw waves and the sea in different ways.

After reading the Google Slides, the children will be given ideas and suggestions on how to draw water waves.

They will have to do these on paper at home and submit them as a photo.

It would be nice if they were in the photo too, and gave a big wave! Ha ha!

RE

This week, in RE we will continue learning about pilgrimage.

Go through the Google Slides on Muslim Pilgrimages and watch the video.

After that, complete the writing task in Google Documents, about why Muslims make a special journey Mecca to the Hajj.

You will need to imagine what it would be like for a Muslim and explain your feelings, emotions and thoughts when making this special journey.

The whole school is going to learn the same song each week. How to do it? Go onto the website called, ‘Out of the Ark’ by copying the link below. On ‘Out of the Ark’, there is an @home free resources section. This song can be found in Week 4 on their menu (when you scroll down their homepage and click on ‘songs by week’). It’s called, ‘It’s a Spring Thing'.
