    The Indian Society for Technical Educationis a national, professional, non-pro t makingorganization of educators in the eld of engineeringand technology started in 1941 as the Associationof Principals of Technical Institutions (APTI), and

    later converted into Indian Society for TechnicalEducation in 1968. It has an active membershipof more than 94283 teachers and 4.9 lakhs studentmembers, 2295 Institutional Members, 1146Faculty Chapters, 1257 Student Chapters and 16Sections at state level in the country. The majorobjective of the ISTE is to assist and contributein the production and development of top quality

    professional engineers and technicians needed bythe industries and other organisations.

    The objectives of these workshops will focus onthe major TEQIP objectives such asStrengthening Institutions to produce highquality engineers for better employability,Scaling up postgraduate education and demand

    driven Research & Development and Innovation,Training of Faculty for effective Teaching, andEnhancing Institutional and System Managementeffectiveness.     The Indian Society for Technical Educationis a national, professional, non-pro t makingorganization of educators in the eld of engineeringand technology started in 1941 as the Associationof Principals of Technical Institutions (APTI), and

    later converted into Indian Society for TechnicalEducation in 1968. It has an active membershipof more than 94283 teachers and 4.9 lakhs studentmembers, 2295 Institutional Members, 1146Faculty Chapters, 1257 Student Chapters and 16Sections at state level in the country. The majorobjective of the ISTE is to assist and contributein the production and development of top quality

    professional engineers and technicians needed bythe industries and other organisations.
