School of Business is good choice for Erasmus students. On my own, education at this

school is at high level. And what is the best? The best is friendly atmosphere for foreign

students. It is very easy to find new friends here, not only students, but professors also.

Faculty offers you a lot of things for your free time. Also you can find a lot of good foods

in cafeteria and canteen, and I have to mention a lunch for 1 Turkish Lira. Further-

more, there are also people from ESN Existanbul who take care for Erasmus students.

They do really good work with it. They organized many trips, meetings and other events.

So, I am sure you won’t be bored till your exchange. Maiej Maderic University of Economics in Bratislava

After one semester I will finish my studies on International Business Administration. In

general I am satisfied with the Istanbul University. I like the relationship between stu-

dents and the professors. They are very friendly to each other and the professors always

trying to help to the students. What I did not like and what is different in my university is

that some professors are really easy-going concerning the start and the end of lessons.

Before coming to Istanbul, I thought that the university is less organized. But I have to

say that I could always solve my problems easily. Also the atmosphere at the university is

really relaxed and comfortable. As I have a Turkish origin, I knew the cultural differences.

But despite that I experienced some surprising situations. All in all I can say that I am

very happy to be here and would recommend others to study at Istanbul University. Aynur Çetinbağ Furtugan University,

My name is Maxime Nadine Gottschalk and I am studying Business Administration at Istan-

bul University. I am totally convinced that this was the right choice. The atmosphere at the

faculty is just amazing and the professor and students are really open minded. Furthermore,

there this ENS Existanbul network who do a lot for us and helped us a lot especially during

the first days. The level of education is also very good and similar to the German level. I will

recommend doing such an Exchange term at Istanbul University to my fellow students at my

home university and I really hope that there will be more exchanges between Istanbul

University and HNE Eberswalde. I would always do it again. My only recommendation con-

cerning Erasmus students might be to assist the foreign students with getting their resi-

dence permit.

I spend great moment here in Istanbul University. Sightseeing, parties, Turkish culture…and of course

classes here in the School of Business in Avcılar. It is easy to get lost in Istanbul because the city is so

huge, even for me who is from Paris. But you always find friendly people to help you. Going to Istanbul is

also a good occasion to travel all over the country. There are organized trips with ESN but you can also

take your backpack and go on your own. Travelling is cheap. However, be careful with your money;

especially for girls because there are so many shops. Now I have 3 months to leave and believe me,

time goes quickly in Istanbul. So a final advice for those who will come to the University of Istanbul is to

enjoy the maximum of Istanbul.

this reason, I wanted to study here. I am very lucky

because the School is perfect. The professors are

very polite with us and the other students. If I haven’t

understand something about the subjects the profes-

sors ask us. There is interest for us. The professors

also came to us and they want introduce ourself. The

lectures are interesting. They are doing correct their

job because: They do not be late; They help us about

the subject ; They are perfect in their presentation of

their subject. Everyday we go to Menza for food, is

very cheap. The building is very clean every day.

The Erasmus experience in Istanbul and more particularly in Business School is really interesting

for several reasons: First, Istanbul is a very specific city, between Europe and Asia; I learn a lot

about the Turkish culture. There is a lot of things to visit, to see and to do. Istanbul is very dynam-

ic, young and cosmopolitic. So I really like the atmosphere of this city. And also people are nice

here. Second, there is lot of Erasmus student here, in Istanbul University. I can discover, of

course, Turkish people, but also rather European people. And learn about language, other cul-

tures…it is very interesting. Third, the Erasmus program is well organized; coordinator and some

professors take care of Erasmus students and help us. There is also ESN association who organ-

ize some trip to discover the country.

My name is Vasiki Kaupelidou and I am 21 years old. I am from Greece and I live in

Athens. I study Business Administration on TG of Athens. It is a good opportunity for

m e to study in this university and the faculty of Business Administration. This faculty

is very popular and useful for younger people nowadays. The professors are very kind

with me and helpful. My schoolmates are also very helpful and polite. I like to meet

new people who have different cultures and I want to learn more things about their

countries. In the last summer I visited Edirne and I believe that it is a very nice city. I

tasted traditional foods and likes kebab and doner. I think that Turkey is very beauti-

ful country.

I am very hap-

py about my life

in Istanbul. I have chosen

this school because it’s the first

and leading faculty in Business

Administration. I am satisfied

with most of the courses, lectur-

ers and activities going on the

campus. I know that these expe-

riences will help me a lot in the future.

My name is Livia. I

am from Moldova.

In my hometown I

studied “Moldo-

Turkish”. So I was one of the few stu-

dents that got the opportunity to come

and continue my studies here in Türkiye.

So I came to Istanbul in 2007. I am really

glad that I have had this opportunity. I am

very pleased and profound about all this

new stuff. First of all it is about the

culture that holds all the secrets for

thousands of year and I had the chance

to live and pass through it, and even try

to be part of it. I was and I am still trying

to enlighten me every day by visiting new

places, making new connections and

asking more questions, so I can use my

time wisely. Liviu Alimov - Moldova

I come to Türkiye in 2007 from Ginea. I learned

Turkish in Ankara then I came to Istanbul. I became

a student in this faculty from 2008 until today. I like Istanbul very much, it is a very

big city and there are many things to do in here. I like my school and my friends. I

am really happy to being here. Also I like my teachers because they tried to help me

every time when I need, and school administration is really helpful for me.

I came from Maldives, a country which has an educa-

tional system with English as the medium of instruction. As a result of this

connection with the English language, it was natural for me to expect Istan-

bul University and the city to be an environment familiar with this language.

As a metropolitan city, Istanbul is full of life with the monetary and travel

privileges. As a scholarship student, you can experience this touristic and

cultural city. Turkey has many similarities with the culture of my country. This

helps in understanding, communicating and socializing with classmates and

others around. In short, an academic experience in Istanbul University in

Istanbul will be a life long unforgettable experience. If you have the oppor-

tunity for an academic life at Istanbul University, go for it with open arms!

Istanbul

is a very

beautiful city, one of the

most wonderful places on the

world. I have had many expe-

riences in six years. Istanbul

University is like a symbol of

the city. It has as rich history

as the city. The thing that I

like most is professional

attitude of lecturers. At the

campus, there is a beautiful

restaurant for the students

and the food is cheap but

good. There is a nice sport

complex with fitness salon

and football, basketball,

volleyball courts. I don’t re-

gret choosing this business

school at all!

I’m from China. Istanbul has a cul-

ture that same as Pekin. It absorbs

the cultures which are belong to Asia

and Europe. Istanbul University is a

huge university. The students are

very glad helping to foreign students.

I have been here since four years. I

like my school and Istanbul is like my

second hometown for me.
