Turkey - Istanbul The current population of Turkey is estimated at 75.8 million, and increase from 2014s estimate of 75.5 million, of which the male population is approximately 49.1% of the total population and the female population is 50.9% of the population. The population continues to increase at a steady rate with almost 3600 births every day, while the death rate compared to this is significantly low at 1224 deaths per day. This implies a net steady increase in Turkeys population and it has increased by more than 150 percent over the years. The growth rate remains around 1.29% per year.Turkey shows a moderate population density, with 98 people per square km and it was in position 111th in the ranking of density population in 2014 .Lets move on to the biggest city of Turkey, which is Istanbul. 3. Istanbul is the fifth most crowded city in the world. The city, then Constantinople, had been the largest city in the world. Right now, as of 1st of January 2014 (10.041.477 in 2000) the population of the city is 16,160,467 which is 18.5% of the total population of Turkey (76,667,864 as of January 2014). As a transcontinental city which means it is located in both continents, Asia and Europe, it is the center of the country's history, economy and culture. 4. With these aspects it invites people all around the Turkey to migrate. 5. Spain Madrid As of January 1, 2014, Spain had a total population of 46,507,760, which represents a 0.5% decrease since 2013. Spain's population peaked in 2012, at 46,818,216 people. Spain's official population fell by 206,000 to 47.1 million, mostly because of immigrants returning home due to the effects of the European economic and fiscal crisis. Its population density, at 91.4 inhabitants per square kilometre (237/sq mi), is lower than that of most Western European countries. With the exception of the capital Madrid, the most densely populated areas lie around the coast. 6. Madrid is the capital of Spain and the political and financial centre of the country. Istanbul Ataturk International Airport Istanbul Atatrk Airport (IATA : IST, ICAO: LTBA) is the main international airport serving Istanbul, Turkey and the biggest airport in Turkey by total number of passengers. In 2012, 45,091,962 passengers used Istanbul Ataturk nternational Airport. t is located in the European side of Istanbul and lays 24 km from the centre of Istanbul. The current terminal capacity reached almost their limits and this is 60 million passengers a year. Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen International Airport stanbul Sabiha Gken International Airport (IATA : SAW, ICAO : LTFJ) is the second international airport serving in stanbul, Turkey. In 2012, 14,686,052 passengers used Sabiha Gokcen nternational Airport. The airport is named after Sabiha Gken, the first female combat pilot in Turkey. The airport is located in the Asian side of Istanbul and is 35 km away from the centre of Istanbul. SAW was built because stanbul Atatrk International Airport had not enough capacity to meet the fast growing bpassenger demands. Currently SAWs terminal capacity is 25 million passengers per year and this capacity will be bigger for the upcoming years. In 2014 there were 14.733.018 inhabitants in Istanbul and according to World bank , Total Air Passenger per Capita in stanbul is 1.0230%. 10. Madrid Barajas International Airport Adolfo Surez MadridBarajas Airport (IATA : MAD, ICAO : LEMD) is the main international airport serving Madrid in Spain. In 2012, 45,190,52 passengers used MadridBarajas, making it the country's largest and busiest airport.The airport is located within the city limits of Madrid and is just 9 km from the city's financial district and 13 km northeast of the Puerta del Sol, Madrid's historic centre. The airport name derives from the adjacent district of Barajas, which has its own metro station on the same rail line serving the airport. According to Eurostat Statistics these are the busiest european airport in 2012. 11. For 2012, according to Eurostat, in Spain Total Air Passenger per Capita is around 6%. 12. For looking at direct flights from stanbul to Madrid the search engine of Skyscanner is used. As date is Monday 31th March 2015 choosen which shows that Turkish Airlines is operating three times a day and beria flies once a day, all from IST. Pegasus Airlines is operating once a day from SAW. 13. The Available Seats (AS) between Istanbul Madrid will give an assumption of the avalaible capacity available for the route.
