The final programme needs to be discussed within the FSC. Specific projects need to be agreed GER, PUR, TEZ, BSC (..). The wild flowers special project should be framed in the wider ISTA project on wild species.

• New species in the ISTA Rules: Felicia heterophylla, Eustoma exaltatum - Finalize the statistical evaluation of the validation studies

(germination methods, in co-operation with GER) - Define PSD, lot and samples weights (co-operation with PUR, BSC)

• Publications Working sheets of the ISTA Flower Seed Testing Handbook - Finalize the publication of the pending sheets (depending on

the availability of the Secretariat) - New sheets (to be decided, herbs?)

• Introduction of Rules changes Revision of table 2A part 3 (samples size for flower species): collection of TSW data for flower species, work in progress.

Data presented in 2015 (no progresses in the last year) 143 species: the TSW of at least three samples is available - 27 species: the actual purity sample size is appropriate - 91 species: the actual purity sample size should be increased Latyrus odoratus – actual purity sample size: 100 g – needed 250 g Matthiola incana– actual purity sample size: 4 g – needed 12 g - 27 species: the actual purity sample size should be decreased Linaria maroccana – actual purity sample size: 0,4 g – needed 0,1 g Campanula rapunculus - actual purity sample size: 1 g – needed 0,1 g

- FSC website: publication of document, advices to gain/maintain accreditation for flower seed testing, FAQ, links to Internet website of interest (…)

Purpose: publication of guidelines for testing wild flower species, including mixtures The project is part of a wider initiative which involve ISTA, AOSA, Millennium Seed Bank) Collection of existing methods (viability, purity, germination, moisture content) Development of new methods (if necessary)
