GARY W ILSON SPEAKS TO OUR JUNIORS
On Friday Gary Wilson made his last visit
to Brampton as part of the Boys Will Be…
project. He spoke to our all of juniors and
was joined by some of their parents. His
themewas
believe in
yourself
and he amazed the children and
adults with several exercises to
improve their own abilities. The
most important message of the
afternoon was to have a good breakfast and to always be listening.

SEAL HOME ACTIVITIES FOR PARENTS TO USE - RELATIONSHIPS
Brampton BulletinPage 2
Family quiz time
How well do the important people in your life really know you? Think of some questions to
find out. Here are some to get you started.
What is my favourite meal?Who is my best friend?
How many brothers and sisters do I have? (parents/carers only)
Who do I sit next to in class? (child only)
Where was I born? (parents and carers only)
Lost
Think about anything that you have lost that you felt was particularly special. It might be a
favourite object or toy. It might be a friend who has moved away or a pet that has died. Take it in turns to
tell each other about your thoughts. You might like to draw a picture or write something to remind you.
Family collage or displayMake a list of the people in your family who are important to you. Try to include the people who you don't
see very often, important people you have never met and people who have died. Is there a special way of
helping you remember special people in your community or family?
Think about the things that remind you of these people. Collect things or pictures of these things and put
them in a display or make a collage.
If you were …
Take it in turns to finish the sentences for members of the family.
If you were an animal I think you would be ….
If you were a biscuit I think you would be …If you were a piece of furniture I think you would be …
If you were a place I think you would be …
Make up some sentences of your own to finish.
If anyone has tried any of the activities suggested this term we would love to hear about it.
Charity Fund Raising
The Lifeboat Collection box in school raised £8.81. Many thanks to those who made a
donation.
Children’s Achievements
Recently Charlotte Pullen in 5M and Aimee Irving in 1B appeared at the Albert Hall to perform with
their dance school—’Dance Act Theatre School’. Their piece was called Rain Mix and was a jazzdance. Megan Sanderson in her dance group ‘Illuminate’ competed in ‘Starpower’, an American
competition in Central London. They did amazingly well, not only did they win the ‘Award of
Excellence’, the Victory Cup, win their category and achieve best overall 12-14 age group but were
awarded the ‘Triple Threat’ award. They were then chosen by the American industry judges to
represent the UK on the Starpower website, and if enough votes are achieved they will fly them to
Dallas, USA to represent the UK in the international competition.

And finally.......Medical appointments
If you wish you child to keep a high attendance record
we recommend where possible that medical or dentist
appointments be made for during the morning. This way
your child will get their registration mark and can return
for the rest of the morning. The same thing applies for
the afternoon session, if appointments can be made for
after registration time your child only needs to miss the
end of the day and not lose their attendance mark.
Please can you also remember to let the office know as
soon as possible of any absence due to sickness etc.
For further advice pleased see our office staff.
Remember if you like what we’re doing —tell
us and others! If you don’t, please help us im-
prove!
