Parent Communication at Wandina Primary School

We use a number of ways to communicate with our school community. Please download the School app to your phone so

you can receive push notifications about what is happening in the school.

We also use facebook, please follow or like our facebook page to see some of the great things our students and staff do at

Wandina PS.

Seesaw is a way that classroom teachers share what your child is learning in class. It may not always be the final published

piece of work as learning is a jurney and as you know, we all learn from the mistakes we make.

As dedicated as our staff are, they also have a life outside of school. If you message or email after 4.30pm or before 8am,

staff may not get back to you until the next day or later that morning. Please respect their personal or family time.

Harmony Day 20th March 2019– Parent Helpers

We are organising a fantastic Harmony Day celebration this year. We are asking if we have any parents that could

share stories about their family background, help with Art activities or help with making some yummy foods in class-

rooms. Please let Mrs Chalwe or let the front office know if you are able to help out.

We are also inviting parents to join us for lunch on this day. The canteen will be making some yummy foods that you

can purchase to enjoy with your children on Harmony Day.

P&C Report

ONLINE CANTEEN ORDERS

The Tucker Hut is now taking orders online via QuickCliq.

Run out of bread? No worries, order in the morning. Haven't got any snacks for recess? You can order that as

well.

You can even place orders up to a month in advance. It's simple and easy to use; even the kids can do it!

Visit www.quickcliq.com.au to register and get ordering today.

A friendly reminder that Kara, our canteen superstar, relies on the help of volunteers to get all the orders out.

Please let us know if you can spare a couple of hours or an occasional canteen day.

The Tucker Hut provides nutritious, home cooked meals for both recess & lunch on Wednesday, Thursday and

Friday’s.

Please also take 2 minutes to complete the canteen survey posted on the P&C Facebook page. We would like

feedback on how we are doing and what we can do to get parents to use the canteen more often.

We invite all parents, carers, teachers and staff to join our community to have your say and help provide the best

educational journey for our children. It is just $1 to join and we meet once a term.

To keep up to date with all that is happening with the P&C please join our Facebook page – Wandina Primary

School P & C Association.

The P&C AGM is on Tuesday 2nd April at 6.30pm. We hope to see you there.

use in the classroom. You can either EFT the funds or come in to the office and pay via EFTPOS or cash.

Our bank details to EFT the amount are:

Playground Use after School

Please be aware that the school is not liable for students who hurt themselves playing on the playground after

school hours. Students must be with a parent, as the parent will have duty of care. Please make sure children

are playing safe and being respectful of school property and looking after the equipment. Parents and students

are asked to leave the school grounds before 3.30pm, unless you have a meeting or extra curricular activity in

the school grounds, as this is when After School Care close the front gates.
