Founded in 1883 by wealthy businessmen who wanted their own theatre, the Metropolitan Opera was originally located in Broadway before moving to the Lincoln Center in 1966. Famous for its trumpet march, Aida will see the return of Roberto Alagna on the Met stage in this legendary love triangle of magnificent decors.

Kyle eastwood Band

Kyle Eastwood, son of Clint Eastwood is a world renowned Jazz Musician. After many family outings to the Monterey Jazz Festival Kyle’s journey was set and his impact on the Jazz world has had a lasting effect. Kyle is also well known for his film scores, he has written music for many of Clint Eastwood’s films including Million Dollar Baby, Gran Torino, Invictus, Changeling, Mystic River and Letter from Iwo Jima. Kyle is also featured on the latest series of Channel Four’s Live At Abbey Road Studios.

WHEN DID YOU FIRST VISIT THE REGAL CINEMA?My parents took me to The Regal before it reopened, when it was still dirty and cold. My Dad would help the people there. When I first went I thought like ‘What is this place?!’, but they would show films sometimes as well, and it was nice.

WHAT ARE YOUR IMPRESSIONS OF THE CINEMA NOW?I think it’s better and really beautiful. It reminds me of a colourful diamond rainbow castle. It is amazing. It is like it’s a bit magic. And I think it is nice that the seats swirl downstairs.

WHEN DO YOU COME TO THE CINEMA?At the weekend for children’s films. I like to come every week.

WHERE DO YOU PREFER TO SIT?upstairs in the double sofas. But when I come with Molly and Chloe we seat in the regular seats.

DO YOU THINK YOU WILL KEEP VISITING THE CINEMA WHEN YOU GROW UP?Yes! It is my favourite cinema for my whole life; I think I will always go. And I think I will take my children there one day if it is still here.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT THE REGAL?I like the toys in the coffee shop; it is nice to play there sometimes.

Amelia lives a few doors away from the cinema and visits very regularly. She is lovely and we all enjoy saying hi when she passes by on her bike. We remember that she used to visit before we reopened, and the whole team is looking forward to many more years of seeing her grow up with us.
