Luteinizing hormone (LH) can be used by athletes to take illicit advantage in sport activities, therefore it is analyzed in anti-doping control by immunoassay. Since LH is an endogenous substance, the urinary excretion profile of the hormone in Brazilian male athletes was established in order to allow the inference of a possible abuse in sports.
