3.Israel should not be allowed to retaliate after a terrorist attack

against it because Israels retaliation usually leads to more

destruction than the attack on it.

just in a different wayI strongly believe every country should have the right to retaliate against any country or group if it is

attacked first. This is important because it is necessary and a first priority for a country to protect itspeople and their freedom. Without security in a country, no one is safe, and life is lived in fear waiting

for the next attack. Yet, my argument is that Israels current strategy to target terrorism and retaliate

against its attacking enemies is largely corrupted and ineffective. This is due to three main reasons.First of all, Israel is not taking much effort into only targeting their enemies. Since Hammas is located

within the people and citizens as a protective cover, Israel is given a tough job to solely attack Hammas

without having any civilian casualties. Israel has recently been doing a horrible job at keeping these

innocent casualties at a minimum. If you remember last June of this year, Israel invaded Gaza inretaliation of attacks to the country. The country used drones which are unmanned jets that are remotely

controlled to file missiles in Gaza. According to the new york times, 29 civilians were killed at one

time by 6 missiles in Gaza. What Israel is doing is wrong and disgusting, killing those that are innocentand have nothing to do with the attacks to Israel.

One might ask the question: " well if Israel is being attacked and the military andcivilian bystanders

are being targeted, then shouldn't it be right to do the same to Israeli's enemies? And that Israelshouldn't worry about civilian casualties if its own people are also being killed. But that is not true at

all. Israel is fighting its enemies, so it shouldn't sink down to its enemies low level to win a fight. They

want to crush their opponents and win to prove a point that these attacks cannot continue any longer

and that any further deaths will not be tolerated. They cannot prove that point by killing innocentcivilians as welland encouraging the same actions that their enemies are doing upon them. The same

    thing they are fighting against!

Secondly, Israel's current strategy is creating more resentment against the country and bringing about

more enemies against it. think about this. How would you feel if you are living in an oppressed region

that is controlled by the strong political group Hammas where its people are easily influenced due tostrong government standards. And then Israel comes in and shoots your family because they are in the

way of the enemy. I believe mostly eneryone in this room would want to avenge their families death.

Many of the family members of those bystanders that died would join the Hammas forces after growingdeep resentment towards Israel for shooting their family. This process would continue more and more

and Isreal would be dealing with more and more enemies without fixing the situation.

Lastly, this strategy to defeat Israel's opponents and retaliate is misinforming the young minds of theIDF. It has made those in the israeli military ignorant and unaware. Many believe all arabs are terrorists

regardless where they are from and whether they are part of the military or civilians. It has blinded the

eyes of these young soldiers and numbed their minds. Filling them with hatred and ignorance.During Operation Cast Lead, known as the Gaza war took place in the Gaza Strip and southern Israel

during the winter of 20082009. Israeli forces were allowed to and killed Palestinian civilians and

intentionally destroyed their property, say soldiers who fought in the offensive.

One squad leader said he questioned the tactics of breaching and shooting inside houes without

warning those inside beforehand. After he spoke out enough and the orders were changed, the squad
