As this document may cover changes related to API-14A, adopted by the referred letter ballot, as well as editorial changes from supplement, and as the hydraulic control circuits for SCSSV have many standard work pressures from 34.5 to 103.5 MPa (from 5,000 to 15,000 psi) involving several manufacturer written calibration specifications, which are specific to the well parameters, we suggest the supplier/manufacturer providing the SCSSV calculation routine to calibrate all part number and serial number SCSSVs with nitrogen chamber. This could be done adding a supplement in the section 7.9, ISO 10432, third edition 2004-12-15.

Due to the production demand, the necessary time to calibrate nitrogen chamber SCSSVs could be abbreviated if the calculation routine could be performed by the operator technical staff, instead waiting data from the supplier/manufacturer.

The MMS elected not to adopt the 11 th edition of API Spec 14A in a final rule issued 3/15/2007 even though they were involved in and aware of the changes to the 11 th edition from the 10 th edition (which they have adopted). Believing that this time they will participate again and provide the taskgroup with language acceptable to them and subsequently adopt the results into legislation, the US suggests we vote to revise/amend the document.

Adopted as API Spec 14A, 11th edition Products in this country are based on API Spec 14A which is an identical adoption of ISO 10432Referenced in US Code of Federal Regulations 30CFR250.806 and 30CFR250.198

We have been suggestd to standartize the distance between the mandrel neck and the valve seat in order to reduce wire line tools. This has been done through CD, DIS and FDIS. No acceptance resulted to this claim. At the moment, we have no additional comments regarding the rest of the ISO 17078-1.

Once all parts of 17078 are complete, they will likely be adopted back as API 11V documents replacing existing ones.

Not adopted at present.Content largely present in API 11V1 and similar documents. API currently waiting on ISO taskgroups to complete their work before back-adoption begins.
