Islander are able to manufacture kayaks from recycled material thanks to the high quality super-linear polyethene plastic they use. Excess material from the production process is collected to make recycled boats which still pass their strict quality and durability standards. The moulders at Islander have been making kayaks in this recycled material for many years now, and are proud to offer you the recycled Calypso. Recycled kayaks are produced in limited numbers when recycled material is available, and each one has a unique colour pattern.

Made in BritainWe know quality is what you value – we’ve been making kayaks and canoes since 1979. At our state of the art rotomoulding factory we use only the best components, including moulded in brass inserts and stainless fittings.

EXL plasticOur kayaks are made from EXL super-linear polyethylene plastic. From over twenty years of experience we can say this is the best plastic with a mix of high impact strength, good shape retention, repairability and recyclabiity.*All of our waste plastic is recycled and used again in the Fiesta kayak and Calypso SOT.

Islander Kayaks featuresSurf Backrest

This low profile backrest is made from thermoformed foam with a reinforced back section. It attaches to the deck of your boat's D-ring attachment points with corrosion resistant brass clips, mounted at four points for stability. The seat angle can be adjusted with webbing strap buckles.

Deluxe Backrest 10158 £49.95

This Deluxe Backrest is made from thermoformed foam with contoured seat pad and a reinforced back section. It attaches to the deck of your boat's D-ring attachment points with corrosion resistant brass clips, mounted at four points for stability. Paddle Leash 10513 £19.95

To safely put your paddle down for having a rest or to take a photograph without risking to lose your sole means of propulsion. Simply attach the leash to the shaft and slip your hand through the Velcro attachment at other end. Your paddle is now secured to you.

Angler accessoriesAlongside the ready to go Strike Angler, other Islander kayaks are easily converted for angling. We supply Scotty and Yak Attack components and anchor kits to customise boats with your own fishing setup. For all the components see Parts & spares.

Lash pointsIslander kayaks have moulded in brass inserts for attachment of handles and lash points. These fittings are fully watertight, and keep the boats adaptable and durable.

Adjustable skegsThe Islander Approach, Jive, Salsa, and Bolero come with adjustable drop down skegs to help keep you paddling straight, which are easily operated from the cockpit. They are made of aluminium for a durability.

Dual density hatchesSeveral models in the Islander Kayaks range are fitted with dual-density rubber hatches. A hard centre holds the shape and protects against implosion, and the softer compound outer makes a watertight seal on the boat.

Screw hatchesSome models feature easily accessible hatches for items likes snacks or sunglasses. These watertight hatches feature a pull out bag so items are easy to find.

or manufacturing defects in the hull and deck. Parts,

accessories, and outfitting are warranted for a period of

one (1) year against material or manufacturing defects

from the date of purchase.

Point of sale

The Islander Kayaks warranty in fullIslander Kayaks warranty: The Seller warrants in favour of the original retail purchaser (“Consumer”) a lifetime warranty against material or manufacturing defects in the hull and deck. Parts, accessories, and outfitting are warranted for a period of one year against material or manufacturing defects from the date of purchase. For Islander kayaks sold as “2nd Quality” as indicated on the Manufacturer’s Statement The Seller provides a limited warranty for two years for the hull and deck and one year for parts, accessories, and outfitting. This warranty is non-transferable.

The Seller shall not be liable to the Consumer in respect to:

(a) Normal wear and tear and aging of product.(b) Kayaks damaged by extreme weather or environmental conditions.(c) Kayaks damaged while in possession of a freight carrier, a dealer, Consumer,

or any party other than Islander Kayaks.(d) Kayaks damaged by accident, neglect, improper use or handling.(e) Kayaks that have been towed by power or sail boats.(f) Kayaks designated as Prototypes.(g) Kayaks sold as “demos” or in “as is” condition.(h) Kayaks determined to have been used for any activity other than an activity

which is customary for the product.(i) Kayaks that have been structurally or dimensionally altered or modified.(j) Kayaks used for commercial, professional or hire/rental purposes (including

demos) only benefit from the warranties applying during the first 12 months warranty period.

This limited warranty excludes all other warranties, expressed or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, with regard to islander Kayaks. Some state, country, or provincial laws do not allow the exclusion of certain implied warranties, so the above exclusion may not apply to you.

This limited warranty excludes any incidental or consequential damages or expenses resulting from any defects. Palm’s aggregate liability shall be limited to an amount equal to Consumer’s original purchase price paid for the defective product.
