DEAR ISLAND LAKERS,
As October sneaks up on us, Island Lake summer 2013 is beginning to feel like a distant, yet fond memory. The leaves are changing color and autumn is setting in at camp, however many of our thoughts are still centered on our ILC friendships and experiences. Yeah, we know that next summer seems too far away, but rest assured our reunion on November 23rd will be here before we know it. We’ll provide more information regarding the reunion later in this newsletter.
We’d like to once again thank all of our camp families for your overwhelming response to early registration for summer 2014. As you will see from the list of campers who are already registered, camp is filling up very quickly. We also want to give a special welcome to all of our new ILC families who have already enrolled for their first exciting summer of fun. We are looking forward to having you join the ILC Family and experiencing all that our camp has to offer - fun, new friendships, fun, exciting activities, fun, new adventures,… oh, and have we mentioned FUN?
Since camp is filling up so nicely, we will be closing certain bunks in specific sessions shortly. If you haven’t yet registered for next summer but are planning to do so, please don't toss the enclosed registration form aside or place it in the pile of paperwork you never quite get to. You can still take advantage of our Pre-November 1st rates and secure a spot for next summer by signing up now. Don’t forget, all campers who enroll before December 1st will also receive their very own special edition Island Lake t-shirt!
All of our 2013 families should have already received their Video Yearbooks. If you were in camp for Summer 2013 and did not receive your DVD in the mail, please contact our winter office and we will send you one right away. We hope you all LOVE it and are watching it over and over again to relive every moment of your fantastic summer at ILC.
We want to hear from you and know what you’re doing, who you’ve seen or spoken with from camp, and all of that fun stuff for our FYI section. Feel free to send us photos from your own camp get-togethers and Bar/Bat Mitzvahs so we can post them in the newsletter, as well. We look forward to hearing from many of you throughout the winter months!

Important Info For ParentsWe hope your children are still talking about camp and all the fun they had. We miss our campers and look forward to having them back with us at Island Lake again in 2014.
Don’t forget, all campers who enroll before December 1st will also receive a special edition Island Lake t-shirt! We don’t like turning away our Island Lakers because camp is full, so please don't get closed out.

Would you like to order a DVD copy of one of this summer’s performances? Included with this newsletter is a video order form which you can simply fill out and return to us. Each video costs $20 and we ask that you please include a check with your order. If you are reading this newsletter online or if you misplaced your order form, don’t worry. Just send a check for $20 per video to our winter office along with a note telling us which performances you would like to purchase. Make sure to tell us which session’s performance you would like in the case of Circus, Dance, and Rock Shop videos.

The Farrell kids spent their Labor Day hanging out with some of their camp buddies. Here you can see them with Raquel Goldberg, along with Group Leader, Patrick, & his brother, Henry.
Ellie Kraus also celebrated her Bat Mitzvah last month with Rachel Strauss, Zoe Naughton, Erin Haas, Eva Serra, Zoelle Korogodsky, Audry Flamming, Harley Weiss, and Lili Popili all partying the night away! Mazel Tov, Ellie!
Staff member Genna Pascoe recently met up with Barbara and Sammy Gilman for brunch. We hear it was delicious!
“I'm Adam Quinn and this weekend Harry Goldstein, Ian Berkey, and I all got together in NYC for one last summer blast! We haven't stopped texting since the day camp ended and all agree that this year was the best year we've had at ILC yet! As a result, I went down to New Jersey to stay with the Goldsteins for the weekend and met Ian in the city. We went to the movies together, walked around the city, and went to famous American food destinations like Hard Rock Cafe, M&M world, and Crumbs cupcakes. We tried to meet up with Imani Thomas as well, but she was feeling lazy! Cara Levine also wanted to hang out with us, but she was furious when she found out her family had made other plans. On our way out of the city of course we run into another Island Laker - Ben Hodes! It was a great last weekend of summer spent with friends made at the best place on earth; ISLAND LAKE!”
Samantha, Jessica, & Danielle Rosenblum met up with Camryn Heyman last month for some good old fashion bowling. As you can see, they all had a blast!
Josh Miller celebrated his Bar Mitzvah last month and just look at how many camp friends came to party with him:.. Jonny Abad, Hunter Barocas, Harry Berger, Alex Bildner, Joey Coopersmith, Isabella deCastro, Adam Frei, Rachel Geller, Tristan Golden, Matthew Green, Jordan Gronich, Evan Israeloff, Noah & Jacob Kaufman-Shalett, Colby Kusinitz, Macy Miller, Ethan Mundell, Ethan Turett, and Toby Wynn were all there! Mazel Tov, Josh!
