25 ISLAND CONNECTIONS :: EDITION 707 :: 01/11/2013 - 14/11/2013 The TDO Sunday League has under gone a few changes. The departure of Bubbles left the league a little shell shocked, but all is well as Target Rob has taken on the role of Mr Fixtures and Results, with Graham doing the Media Support Role and Richie from Bar 180 sor- ting out the Wednesday Night Super league. And Phoenix Bar have sadly withdrawn from the league. The TDO Reporter went first to see Naughty Nauta’s V Legends A which resulted in Nauta claiming the game 11 – 0 as Legends A called the match off due to lack of players. Next was the Target B V Chipeque Nomads match, which was close, but Chipeque Nomads were once again put to the sword. Well done Daniel (Target B) hitting a 140 finish. The following week was Bar 180 B V Target A in Golf Del Sur. Target A were leading 1 – 0 with Ray beating Graham 3 - 1 (including a 2 dart 100 check out by Ray). Next, Colin, after a close game with Ian (Bar 180) took the final leg to even the match. Then Chris (Target) lost 3 -1 to Jamie, and Brian (Target) also lost by the same score to John bringing the score to 3 – 1 in favour of the home team. With the doubles worth 2 points per game, and the trebles worth 3, the match was wide open. Target A took both doubles bringing the score to 5 – 3. All was resting on the trebles game but Target A were victorious with a final score of 8 – 3. Congrats to John (Bar180) on his 180. Finally, to Los Cristianos to watch Legends A V Summerlands A. Roy for the home team beat Chris 2 – 0 and Linda outplayed Luis to win 2 – 0. The next two matches went the same way with Simon beating Ethan and Wiley Old Eric beating Adam. Jean/Eric were unlucky not to seal the match in the first doubles losing 2 – 0 but Simon/Roy made amends taking the second. In the 1st game of second round singles the two cap- tains met, with Paul at his best to defeat Mike. The opening frame saw Gra- ham of Lupain win a very tense match against Ray C. The captain of Bar Nauta, Paul, levelled with a comforta- ble win against Suresh. Lupain´s captain, Mike, came up against Jack in what turned out to be a rather entertaining contest, with Mike clearing up the last three balls to win. Simon was the winner of his match with Victor to level the scores at 2x2. The pairs were The next two were won by Nauta´s Jack & Ray C to clinch the match.
