Is it the TRUTH? 2. Is it FAIR to all concerned? 3. Will it build GOOD WILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS? 4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned? Eaton Rapids Community Christian Action Group (CCAG) is taking donations to help local families in need this Christmas. Island City Academy will be collecting books (new/like new), insulated gloves (infant-teen sizes), and canned goods (beans, corn, or fruit). If you would like to donate, please bring items to the school before December 12th. This is CCAG’s 41st year of providing food and gifts to local families. Last year they served 215 families in Eaton Rapids, which included providing food for 726 people and gifts for 321 children. Thank you for your help! The school is looking for student art work for the placemats we have published at The Robin’s Nest. All art work can be dropped off in the office. The Island City Academy Board of Directors will be providing the entire staff and student body with a Turkey Dinner from Davis and Sons in Jackson on Tuesday, November 25th. This meal is free for all students in grades Pre-K to 8th grade. Turkey with all the fixings will be served. Just a reminder that students will being going outside for recess each day as long as the temperature and wind chill are both 15 degrees or above. Please be sure to send appropriate outerwear. Students will be allowed to play in the snow as long as they have snow pants, boots and gloves. Thank you.

CAUGHT DOING SOMETHING NICE

• Hayden Robison in sixth grade stopped and fixed a rug so others would not trip. • Emma Hobbins in fifth grade helped two injured students in the office. • Grant Lease in fourth grade picked up trash in the hallway. • Preston Williams in Kindergarten, Nathan Bright, Brayden McNamara, and Jonah Brininstool

in eighth grade cleaned up the gym after a basketball game. • Jacob Richards in eighth grade had extra gym cloths and loaned them to a friend. • Preston Schlichter in first grade for being a very polite man in the office. • Shamus O’Hearon in Kindergarten blew goodbye kisses to a couple staff members.

Mrs. Wolfe is looking for donations of movies. Clifford, Max & Ruby, Dragon Tales, etc in either VHS or DVD. All donations can be dropped off in the office.

We are beginning the Box Top/Campbell Soup Label challenge. Each class will be collecting Campbell Soup Labels/Box Tops now through Friday, December 12th. We do ask that parents turn in their labels/tops in an envelope/baggie cut and counted. We will be posting the progress of each class in the Dragon Dialogue each week. The top class Pre-K-3rd and 4th to 8th grade will win a party of their choice before the holiday break.

We are looking for donations of new Christmas cards that the students will fill out for our troops. Students will fill out the cards then Mrs. Beaver will be getting them ready to mail out. We will be accepting donations until November 24th. Please drop donations off in the office. Thank you!
