This book serves to explain Islamic Architecture , whose form and function is primarily inspired by Islam. It facilitates ,fosters and stimulates the Muslim’s Ibadah (worship) activities , which accounts for every moment of their earthly lives. Islamic Architecture is heavily dependent on 7 main principles : Tawheed (Oneness and Unity), Ihtiram (Respect), Ikhlas (Sincerity), Iqtisad (Moderation), Haya’ (Modesty), Ilm (Knowledge) and Dhikr (Remembrance). All these principles are incorporated in the buildings and Mosques featured in the following pages. Thus Islamic architecture represents the religion of Islam that has been translated into reality at the hands of the Muslims.
