engineers fully have the right to attach to the wide spread

hype that "IP communications have wiped out everything

else". We at Iskra are deeply involved in IP solutions as well

as in traditional industrial environments. Therefore we

know very well in which cases off the shelf IP technology

can replace traditional synchronous communications

and in which cases it simply can not.

Whenever it comes voice, video and data transmission

along gas pipes in Siberian ice, optical systems along

railway tracks, industrial process control, public utilities'

networks, reliable microwave rings, "99.999%" operators'

networks, nuclear power plant control, and similar, we

have an answer ready.

Without compromising the industrial reliability we are

known for, we are adapting to the requirements of the

changing times. We cover the full range from E1, E3, STM-

1, STM-4, STM-16, 10/100/1000 Ethernet to xWDM; Though

synchronous, the platforms boast full linux operating

system onboard, advanced web based management

tools, even Engineering Order Wire SIP VoIP inband

telephony with advanced distributed soft-switch

redundancy algorithms.

SparkLight enables service providers to offer reliable,

high performance, high-speed communications

services such as LAN interconnection, Internet access,

voice & data services, etc.

Various interfaces, many optional tributary modules and

a high capacity cross-connect matrix capacity give an

opportunity to set up effective multi-service

communication node.

Integrated Ethernet L2 switch enables point-to-point and

point-to-multipoint LAN traffic with traffic protection (on

SDH or L2 switch level).

The management system with Java Web Start user

interface, SNMP agent and OSPF router is built in.

Consequently noadditional software except a PC with a

web browser is needed to set up the telemanagement

system.

High integration of SparkLight and SparkWave product

line allows that building blocks of SparkLight equipment

could be used for radio networks as well, thus reducing

the spare parts required for deployment and

maintenance of NG SDH mesh network.
