Aimed specifically at engineering businesses and food

manufacturers, this event will focus on the Food and Drink

iNet’s Championing Innovation between the Engineering

and Food Sectors (ChIEFS) project.

Encompassing the iNet’s core aim of generating successful collaborations, the ChIEFS project brings together researchers, inventors and designers with food producers and engineers in order to solve common problems faced by food manufacturers.

With this in mind, the iShowcase...ChIEFS event will facilitate the introduction of the East Midlands engineering sector to the businesses that could benefit from their help to solve current manufacturing issues.

Hygienic Design

A leading expert from the Food Processing Faraday will be our

guest speaker for the afternoon, who will provide an update

on the latest advances in the area of hygienic design, a key

topic for food manufacturers and an area of great potential for

engineers looking to work with food and drink customers. In

addition to attending the event, engineering businesses are

invited to exhibit past work with the food and drink sector,

whilst food and drink manufacturers are

encouraged to bring along a list of their

most common manufacturing issues in

order to identify potential solutions.

Over the course of the afternoon the Food and Drink iNet will be facilitating one-to-one meetings for food and drink businesses to discuss their specific requirements with engineers. If you would like to take part in this please let us know by ticking the appropriate box on the booking form, and we will be in touch with further details.
