January 4, 2013 Pat Baumgardner, General Manager George Fern Company 1147 S. White River Parkway E. Drive Indianapolis, IN 462255-9606 Dear Baumgardner, Happy New Year! I hope the past few days have been a great start to 2013. As we should not forget the great accomplishments of 2012, I would be amiss if I didn’t thank and give you my fondest appreciation to the staff at George Fern. The INShape Indiana Black & Minority Health Fair continues to remain successful because of all the dedication and hard work individuals and organizations put in to it. This includes George Fern. Your organization continues to give us the best representatives to work with. Tom Drullinger, Judy Buchanan, Michelle Price, and Randy Fisher helped us so much last year. With logistics, graphics, even helping us avert a major crisis with our give away promotional item, they unrelenting showed great customer service and went out of their way to help the Office of Minority Health staff and myself. As I have stated before, I do not take for granted their continued sacrifice they make for the health fair and so many others. “My crew” that helps get our Hall and event ready continues to shock and amaze me. They are efficient, effective, timely, and always available. Their continued service has never wavered. Even when unforeseen changes or problems arise, they are right there and ready to lend a helping hand. Please thank Keith Bramlett, Charles Thompson (Chucky), Tana James (TT), David Black, Bruce Skirvin, Jimmy Davis, and Judy Buchanan (again) personally for the wonderful labor of love. I am honored and consider it a privilege to continue to work with such great people. The Office of Minority Health is grateful to these individuals and George Fern for helping us put on a flourishing nationally recognized event year after year. Thank you, thank you, and thank you. We may not know what the future holds, but we definitely know who holds our future and cannot wait for another opportunity to work with all “my crew” this year. Without End and Forever Thankful,

Antoniette Holt, MPH Director Office of Minority Health Indiana State Department of Health

Greetings Pat,

The wonderful employees of George Fern Company have done it again. I will go on record again to

say that the INShape Indiana Black & Minority Health Fair continues to remain successful because

of all the dedication and hard work individuals and organizations put in to it. This definitely

doesn’t exclude George Fern. Your team continues to show forth an attitude of professionalism,

accommodating, and genuine kindness. Thank you for letting Tom Drullinger, Judy Buchanan, and

Randy Fisher continue to help us with logistics and plans for the health fair. This year George Fern

also provided graphics for our show. Special thanks to Angela Miles, out of your Cincinnati office,

for her hard work as well. I look forward to working with these individuals every year. George

Fern has become family and a definite permanent facet of the Office of Minority Health, the health

fair planning committee, exhibitors, sponsors and participants. One of the many joys of this event

is the opportunity to work with George Fern staff.

Thank you for the hardest working crew that sets up our hall every year. I will continue to call

them “my crew” until the end of time. I am completely amazed how they take 46,000 square feet

and make it into the largest health fair of its kind in the U.S. They are resourceful, efficient, and

timely. Their continued service has never wavered. Even when a problem arises, they are right

there and ready to lend a helping hand. Please give my sincere gratitude and thanks to Keith

Bramlett, Charles Thompson (Chucky), Tana James (TT), David Black, Bruce Skirvin, Jimmy

Davis, Shannon Zimmerman, and Judy Buchanan (again) personally for the wonderful labor of

love.

The Office of Minority Health is indebted to these individuals and George Fern for making the

2014 INShape Indiana Black & Minority Health Fair look so great. Thank you a thousand times

over. We may not know what the future holds, but we definitely know who holds our future and

cannot wait for another opportunity to work with all “my crew”.

Forever Thankful,

Antoniette Holt, MPH
