    Synopsis

Over the past few years the Indian Science Congress

(ISC) has successfully and dynamically extended it reach

to academicians, entrepreneurs, young brains and

society at large. Almost a decade ago this vision was

envisaged by Dr. R.A. Mashelkar, the then General

President of ISC. The organizing committee at that time

engaged MM Activ to make this noble vision a reality.

“Pride of India ISC Expo”(POI Expo) was thus

conceptualized and ever since then, MM Activ has been

constructively working towards extending the reach of

the Congress to the grass root level. Organized for over a

decade now, the Expo has become an integral part of

ISC, while MM Activ has been implementing novel ideas

each year to enhance its quality and popularity.

One of the prestigious section of Expo, which has

become extremely popular over the years and

demonstrates MM Activ's passion towards ISC, is “Hall

of Pride” (HOP) pavilion. It showcases the life and

achievements of two great personalities; an eminent

scientist & a philanthropist who has immense

    contribution in the nation building.

A special theme pavilion titled “Edu Vision” was created

by MM Activ to host a number of academic institutions.

Edu Vision received overwhelming response with over

20 organizations showcasing their vision. One of the most revered segments of the event

“Genesis”…a special focus symposium was organized in

sync with the theme of the I SC.

Another feature to achieve the objective of popularizing

science among students was through“Vigyan Jyot”.

Vigyan Jyot for the first time travelled across the nation

spreading a message about science among million of

    students.

All these initiatives have led to the immense success of

98th ISC Pride of India Expo.Highlights - Largest number of delegates in the history

Indian Science Congress Maximum participants in

POI Expo POI Expo spread over an area of 6000 sqm.

Vigyan Jyot travelled over 3000 Km from north to

    south.

The POI Expo has been garnering an overwhelming

response year after year. It is visited by large number of

students, academia, eminent scientists, Nobel laureates,

    policy makers, scientific fraternity etc.

The 99th Science Congress will be held at the sprawling

campus of KIITS University, Orissa from 03-07 January,

2012. With “Science and Technology for Inclusive

Innovation- Role of Women” as the focal theme, the

99th ISC will be steered under the valuable guidance of

Prof. Geetha Bali, General President and Dr. Achyuta

Samanta, Founder KIIT Group of Institutions.

MM Activ is also engaged in organising National &

International events in the fields of science and

    technology, ag r i cu l ture , b iotechnology, IT,

    nutraceuticals, nanotechnology, higher education,
